I was on a boxing board I frequent and some college kid proclaimed that it was physically impossible to gain more than 8 lbs of muscle per year without the use of steroids.
I told him I didnt buy it because I had gained 6 lbs of muscle in the last three months according to my body comp. analysis. Furthermore, my bro went from weighing around 130 to damn near 170 in a little over a year and a half. He uses all kinds of pills from gnc though and works out constantly.
So to my point. I figured I'd come here and see if I was correct in what I told this guy. I told him that so long as your giving your body a reason to grow muscle, it will. I said I didnt believe that gains were limited by time.
So is there a ceiling to the amount of muscle you can put on per year?
Thanks
