currently weight 257lb ( 19.0)after putting on 2lb from going to the gym 5 times in a row, in a week. Week before I put on 5lb's. Anyway I have started back at the gym as the year before I went down from 20ish stone to 17 and felt really good. This time I am pushing my self even harder. However though it seems I'm putting on more weight then losing. I can see my belly getting smaller :). etc, will carry on and see what happens.


I was doing 3mile jog/walk each time then some weight, after chatting to one of the gym guys they put me on a incline jog, where I run at 2.5 incline at 5mpg then add 1 each minute, once hit 5.5 incline bring it down same method. Then repeat have to say to does knacker you out and makes me sweat lots more.


Will keep it up and will keep you posted.

Well I got some bad news and some good news, bad news is I put on half a pound and seem I cannot run as much ( feel knackered).


Good news is I can see my arms have gotten bigger, the old love handles gone down a bit and the man boobs are smaller I think :)


I'm not sure if the running / jogging down to me not having a break from the gym. I had 3 days off last week. Every time at the gym I give it every on cardio and weights. But I cant seem to do my incline as well as I did a week and half ago. I do 7 mins of incline where I start at 2.5 jogging at 5mph then increase every minute to 5.5 then down then have a break when I'm back at 2.5 incline. I used to do this twice a little break in the middle and then a mix speed run after. But now I struggle with just doing on one set :(


Im planning on having a week off at christmas just to relax.

Hey there Matt,


Are you also watching your calorie consumption? I know after working out I can be super hungry. Also you may want to step it down a notch exercise wise. You may need to let your body recover a little bit more from those runs. I'd suggest going hard one day a week and then workout moderately the rest of the days.
 
H Munch, thank you for your reply. I am watching my intake, I'm not as bad as I was. I do try and plan going to the gym before lunch so when i'm home I have lunch straight away. I was thinking of doing that few days of hard running then the rest of the week doing weights and cross trainer.


I am seeing some change my belly a bit flatter and and you can now see my belt lol.
 
Well weigh in was today and I have stayed the same which is an improvement from last week at least :). I can start to see little differences. Belts are not as tight belly not saying hello from the bottom of the t-shirt. Lost a lot of weight from my face. Got a small head now and a large body lol.


With the running I had just one big jog this week, 4 mile, rest of them small ones and used the cross trainer and bike more.


See what next week brings.
 
Well first off merry Christmas to all (bit late) and happy new year. Weight time ....... I weight myself on Christmas day, I know big mistake, I put a 1 pound on :(. Did not stop me eating some chocolates.... Back to the gym hopefully today.


I did wear an old t-shirt the other day, it wasnt tight on my belly, but tight on my shoulders and biceps. So for the next 2 weeks just carido at the gym no weight and just a bit of free weights at home to see what that does. As I think i'm putting on muscel, Which I want to but, the weight gain puttingg me down.



Cross your fingers for next week. I may get some photos up.
 
ADon't worry about putting on muscle, that's a good thing and it will only help you lose fat a lot faster.
 
thank you for the reply MLB. No gym today wasnt open, will try tomorrow have to burn off the pringles,sweets and turkey.
 
Not sure what happened with my last post but to cut it short i put on last week.................... Forward to this week, I lost 2 lb's :) My first lose. I have cut down down on the snacking, room for improvement still, been eating more fruit and less rubbish, like chocolate and take out. Only had 1 take out this month :). See ya next week.
 
Okay another weigh-in, time passes fast. I stayed the same this week :(. I did pig out on a few days, so this week going to try even harder. I've started eating a lot more soup and now when I've finished a meal, if I still feel not full, I wont go and get anything else and wait till my next meal. I've taken photos in DEC and now in JAN will take them same time in FEB and show dates and how much I lost, to see the difference. Bring next week on :)
 
Good week this week lost 3lb's brings me down too 18 stone and 10 lb's. Have eaten badly on a few days so will have to cut that down a bit. Have to keep up with it though having a lack of enthusiasm at the minute.
 
AHello all, time for an update!. First of all lets forgot Feburary exsits :). Fast forward to March. Just started my new job in c++ programming, first job in the area I want. I am now current;ly weighing in at 18st and 6LB's. 4IBS lost. Also my new job have conviced me to do a half marathon:hurray:. I think i am out of my league there. However it is in October.

Just like to say was working out alot but did not chnage my diet. Now I have cut down my working out, and really changed my diet, HAving soup at lunch, do not snack. and it has paid off.
 
Congrats on the new job and weight loss so far. Soup with no snacks seem a little harsh when you're working. Maybe you could eat more at lunch and less a dinner? :):) Just a thought.
 
Thank you, for your reply Wild. Today I had a hot cross bun for break, was in a rush. For lunch it I had 2x bannas and a tin of chicken soup. For dinner should be around 500/600 calories, then a muller light yog.
 
So, just weight myself Saturday just gone, lost again, this time 2 pounds, wanted to lose 6 so I was under 18 stone. However a lost is better than nothing. Also this weekend managed 4.5 mile jog outside, stoped 4 times during it, and managed to complete it under 50 mins :).


Wasnt a great idea to do it in the heat tho, I have now got a sore throat and runny nose.


Current weight 18 stone and 4 pounds.
 
Well its been a while since my last post, so what have I been doing? well in my previous posts i mentioned about a half marathon, well I just did it took me just over 2:30 hours would have been less then 2:30 but needed a wee :).


Anyway back to weight loss after doing lots and lots of running i am down to 17 stone 7 pounds. Just sitting around there at the minute eating around 2k calories now and spreading it over the day in small snacks.


Weigh day this saturday so will update again then :)
