Making Muscle

Some people have told me its alot better to have fat to turn into muscle rather than just being slim and trying to build muscles. Is this true i would have thought being slim and trying to build muscles would be better than having fat transform into muscle

can you turn wood into gold? nope..
can you turn fat into muscle.. nope:p
its all about body types.. there are 4 i think, cant remember them. but a fat person often gains fat AND muscle easily, while alot of skinny guys are hard gainers both in fat and muscle..

Agreed with the above.

You need to choose one or the other, either bulk or cut, then divise a proper diet/training routine.

Ectomorph (naturally skinny) 'fast metabolism'
Mesomorph (muscular, average)
Endomorph (naturally heavy set) 'slow metabolism'

thanks alot Mreik :)
i did find a post here where there was 4 though.. it was a poll "what body type are you" or something like that :S it was explained in high detail there if i remember correctly

Something else to add, many have said that a person with a high amount of fat will more than likely gain more additional fat than lean muscle as compared to a person with less bodyfat when "bulking" or trying to gain size. The person with less bodyfat will "more than likely" gain more lean mass than additional bodyfat because they were lean when they began training for size.
