Hey,
I am in the same boat. I do not know my exact weight but I am guessing around my ticker's number (137), and I also aim to reach 120. I think Christmas day is not really feasible (at least not for me, I am a slow loser... ok, doesn't sound great put that way

) and I get a bit upset if I do not reach my goals, so why not take it one day at a time?
What are you going to do to reach your goal?
You can be my weightloss buddy, since we have similar starting weights, similar goals... I am seeing my whole entire family again on the 24th of December, so ideally I would be real skinny for them to be impressed, so technically we even have the same timeline (although really I decided I really want to be 58 kg, so 127 pounds by then, so lose 10 pounds in 8 weeks... hmm... might be doable), but I mean less is always better

!!
I can share with you my "plan". My diet already consists of mainly vegetables, fruits, rice and some meat (mainly chicken, sometimes some beef). I have celiac disease so I cannot eat gluten or dairy and I live in West Africa so there are certain things that are just nto accessible here... I am lucky that some of those are chocolate (although we still have some we brought with us) and other things I usually like (a little bit too much maybe). What I need to change is: 1.) snacking on nuts. A handful is fine, but a whole packet is too much! And I cannot stop myself, so really when I fel the urge to snack, I need to get some fruit or veggie. 2.) Sodas, we go out a lot and I do not drink alcohol, so I drink a few sodas, as in probably about 2 a day. I need to cut it down to maybe two a week. 3.) Portion control. I am nto too bad in this department actually, but sometimes I forget to stop myself when I was served a huge plate.
My exercise is mainly walking (I am trying to walk 2 hours a day) and swimming (hopefully I will manage to swim 1 hour 5 days a week from next week onwards.
If you fancy being my buddy I would be really happy, I like having someone to back up and I like having someone backing me up. Only thing is I do not have internet at home, so I am going to be online 1 hour a day at the max for the next 2 or 3 weeks and then hopefully we will have internet.
If you do not fancy a buddy that is fine, I wish you strength and willpower, read the stickies, they are really good and informative and then try to find a way that works with your lifestyle!
Love, Camy
