maintaining a pump

Of course, when my muscles are cold they don't look as impressive as when they are pumped after lifting. Is there any way to somehow maintain a pump, or have them look as big as i know they are; without constantly doing pushups or decreasing body fat? I don't have a lot of body fat, and I'm currently on a very small defacit diet, and I'm slowly losing the fat... slowly.

I also know you get more definition and more visible veins from being dehydrated, but that's out of the question.

The thing that confuses me is that I'm making gains in the gym, significant gains, and my muscles still look almost anemic when they're cold. I've noticed my muscles actually getting bigger week to week while in the gym, but they always come down to the same spot on off days.

I'm lifting and putting on size simply for strength, but I woulnd't mind also looking 'impressive' when I go to class.

I don't think there's any way of having a permanent pump but suppliments containing Nitric Oxide reportedly give you that pump for longer after a workout.

You'll spot them because they typically have NO at the start of their name.
There's little evidence they do much else though so I wouldn't recommend them

aaaahhhhhhhhh... "use protein"

i hate when people say they "use" or "take" protein.. you eat it or drink it, just like carbs and fats LOL!!!
