Lower back buckling during squats

yeah, whenever I get to the later sets or reps, I have to stop because I can feel my back bending while I'm trying really hard to keep it rigid. I can't really do as many reps as I want with this problem.

Does it matter how precisely apart my feet are? Sometimes I try to do shoulder-width but I'm not 100% sure if they are actually shoulder-width apart. On the last set my lats start to feel some strain too, maybe from the weight. I do shoulder shrugs to try to build up that area.

i have that problem too. its a pity cuz squats are probably THE best leg exercise. Try to strengthen your stomach. here's a few things you can do while squatting to help ur back.

when going to unrack the bar inhale and clench your body and you will rise like a hydrolic lift, then step back, set ur feet and inhale and clench your abs and pull yourself into the ground. then once you are as low as you are supposed to be, push the floor away from you while keeping your abs tight and compressed. when you reach the top release the air and do it again.

stair at one point on the wall the entire time you squat.

make sure the bar is resting on a meaty part in your back and not on bone.

hope this helps, good luck
