Ok I have a aituation. I want to get rid of my love handles, I;ve read that running would get rid of them, I also heard getting your BMI to >12% you will have less love handles. Im currently working out upper body, and I might occasioinally work out my abdomen area. I jused to work out my abs insane until I heard that working out abs and obliques will NOT get ri oyur love handles, I would have to lose all the fat. NOw heres the problem, I like at the stage Im in right now and I dont ave a problem with it, but I still want to lose my love handles.

What are diffrent strategies on how to lose em? I try and try but nothing. Well thanks.

I'm by no means an expert on the subject, but generally speaking, if you eat properly and exercise a lot, you will have good results. Here is a site that may help you some:

I ran across this a while back. I actually have a question regarding that site though. Does anybody know much about the amino acid L-Glutamine? That site mentions it and suggests using it several times a day. I'm not even sure what it is or where to get it. I was also wondering if anybody here has any experience with it and if they recommend it or not. Anyone??

Hey there,

Love handles are actually fat around the sides of your stomach. Like i said in another post, working out your stomach by doing crunches, obliques, etc will definately get your abs stronger, but will NOT get rid of the fat. The first step to losing love handles, is getting rid of the fat around your abs. Then, you can work out your abs for definition. But, sidebends are great for obliques. Also, side crunches and regular crunches where you have to reach with your elbow towards your opposite knee.

Trevor,

Glutamine is the main amino acid found in muscle tissue. The thinking has been that taking extra glutamine will help increase muscle mass, but this has not been the case. Creatine is a much better blend for adding muscle size and strength. Glutamine is usually found in most creatine blends you can find in a store (GNC). People who have been using it while training, saw amazing results in as little as one week.

Hope that helps,

Roman
