i plan on losing weight during lent. I am 13 and currently weigh 125-127. My height is 5'2. I dont really know if i would consider myself "fat" but, i really do feel pretty large. So i am giving up all drinks beside water and milk. I am also giving up sweets such as cookies, chocolate, cakes, ect. Please leave a comment of what you think. Do you think it is possible to lose "some" weight in 40 days ?

Your BMI is right in the middle of normal, honey--You don't need to lose anything. Although giving up the fizzy drinks is always a good idea and cutting down on sweets as well! Just try not to lose more than a few pounds as you're BMI could drop to below healthy :)

AMilk isn't as great as they say, either. If you want calcium, eat lettuce. Milk is loaded with calories, even the low fat kind. Drink tons of water, though. Also, don't completely deprive yourself of sweets. If you have something once a week, it will help you to not binge.

BTW... 125lbs? Most women would love to be that weight. Don't focus on your outward appearance so much focus on school and building a solid future. 10 years from now, you'll look back on this time and shake your head, wondering why you weren't happy the way you are. Enjoy being a teen and stop stressing over weight!
