losing weight and inches

ok...I have tried EVERYTHING from working out to steam room to dieting and I still CAN NOT lose the inches that I need. It seems like everytime I workout or any of that I gain inches. I am 6ft 2in weighing 268. I have 27% body fat and I need to get down to 22%. I'm trying to reenlist as soon as possible so if you can give me any advice or anything I would appreciate it
Thank you for your time

Well to lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you eat. So try a Cardio workout everyday. Or if you are looking to also build muscle try alternating between cardio and weights.

yeah for weight-loss cardio is the way to go. but like spanky said weight-training helps too. crunches and ab workouts can help you lose inches off that midsection and as for diet if your lifting weights and doing cardio try low-carbs and high protein for eating habits (just dont forget those greens). i hope this helps and goodluck.

1.) Wrong about crunches/ab work, can't spot reduce fat... on top of that, heavily working the abdominals will make them more dense and actually push the fat out...

2.) Wrong about low-carbs and high protein... 60% of your caloric intake should be carbs, 20% should be protein, and 20% should be fat...

You need to figure out how many calories you burn in a day to survive (resting metabolic rate), subtract 500 calories, and eat that CONSISTANTLY... Make sure you are eatting at least 4-5 meals a day...
