Well yeah "if" I kept that lean body mass, but some of the weight I lose from now until then will be lean mass (and other things like fluid), it won't all be fat. At 185, the NIH model predicts 17.7% body fat. This comes from an initial estimate of 48.1% body fat at 375 pounds. I came up with that, basically by trying to find the beginning body fat% that would result in a 34.8% body fat% today (which is my best guess right now). Of the 190 pounds lost from 375 to 185, their model estimates 147.5 will be from fat, 42.5 from non-fat. So far it estimates that of my 104.4 pounds lost so far, 86.1 is fat, 18.3 is non-fat.
That model also says that when you go into maintenance from there, you'll gain a little weight, but your body fat% will continue to drop a little bit.
I dunno, we will just have to wait and see. Generally though, every method I've checked suggests I have less body fat than you would normally expect from someone my height and weight.
