little help

hey, ive been training for about 4 weeks now and can notice some difference with my body. i use a homegym style of workout. just wondering what people think about the 8x8 program. i was thinking of doing 4 weeks 8x8, week off, 4 weeks of a normal workout, week off etc... i am also thinking of investing into protein and creatine supplements. my aim is to get to a big, but not too big, and also to be very defined. i currently weigh 88kgs and am 6'2. i still have a bit of flab around the stomach, but i also will be running as cardio. how long would it take to see some real improvments, mainly the chest, arms, back and shoulders im after.

thanks people, brad!

8x8, isnt that from vince gironda?

either way, with 4 weeks of experience that would seem a little too advanced.

Yup, that's the Gironda program.

And I agree; four weeks into training and trying this type of program will burn you out.

I know you were wondering about 8x8, but lets take a look at what your currently doing and see if we can improve that. What does your current workout consist of? A person will notice the biggest change within the first three months of beginning to exercise, after that its minimal and requires hard work and dedication. Depending on what exactly your idea of yourself is, it could take a short time, or a lifetime. You need to make sure your diet is good before deciding whether or not you need a protein supplement. Stay away from the creatine for awhile, you can do fine without it.
