Lifting to little / much

How do know when you're lifting to much or to little? Besides not getting results. Are there any signs that tell you while / after you're working out?
 
If you feal a burn in your muscles while your lifting and feal tired and after your out of the gym perhaps your muscles are a bit soar or probably the next day they will be ? Thien your gonna get results and your doing the right thing. Theres no real "lifting to much/little". No real such thing because the beuty of weight lifting is that there are multiple different ways of going about it. Super sets, Negatives, or just 10 reps of 3 sets ya know. If your lifting 10x3 thein i'd say lift iono like .. 75% of the max you could lift, i'm guessing. I'm still fairly new to this myself.
