Lifestyle Intervention !

Hello Weight Loss Forum World,

I've struggled with my weight since I was a pre-teen. A few years ago, I made a lifestyle change and dropped from my highest ever weight of over 280 lbs to 174 pounds (a healthy weight for me! 5'10 female), over about a year and a half. I maintained that weight for about a year. But over the last six months or so, it's been creeping back up :(

I worked so hard to get to my healthy weight and I felt so much happier. I've been gaining weight because I've been being inconsistent with my workouts, and I've been eating a lot of unhealthy food/beverages. I spend a lot of time with my boyfriend, and he has a physical job and super metabolism and can eat whatever he wants and still look amazing of course- BUT THAT'S NOT ME!

I have to be accountable for my own body and lifestyle and take control. I don't want to be overweight. The past few months I've feel way crappier all the time and have guilt over my poor choices.

So I'm making a commitment to myself to get back to eating healthy and exercising regularly, and get back to my healthy weight. I am going to be accountable and post my weigh-ins, exercise and food intake on my diary. I found the support on WLF a big help the first time around :)

So here I go, wish me luck!!!

Isnt it a bummer how the weight will jump back on ya? I too lost quite a bit a couple (gosh I guess it was 3) years ago and have battled to keep it off. Thats why I am back as well. I wish you positive thoughts for negative scale movements.

Super excited for you hun, i cant believe how much weight u lost a few years ago :O my jaw dropped, look on the bright side, you have only gained a tiny amount back in comparison to what u lost...YOU CAN DO IT:) x

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone! :grouphug:

Irishprincess - I am happy I have a lot less to lose than I did throughout most of my "teenage/early 20s life", but I'm still dissapointed that I even gained this much back. :) I knew I wasn't being healthy, and I thought after gaining 5-10 pounds I would smarten up and get back down. But I kept thinking "Oh I'll get back on track next week!" As we all know in this weight game, those are deadly words! There is no tomorrow you have to start right now! When you finally stop putting it off then you can finally start the rest of your life and feel good about it :biggrin::biggrin: Upward and Onward!!!

Good day! Cardio was a little tough seeing as I forgot my water bottle and I normally chug through it pretty steadily, but I pushed through! Hitting the weights again tomorrow. Yesterday I did chest/triceps and cardio. So that's 3 more cardio sessions and 3 more weight lifting sessions by Sunday and I'm good for the week :D

Weigh In: 202.8 lbs :) I'm taking this number with a grain of salt, because for my starting weight I used the scale at my boyfriend's house and this number came from my scale, which appears to be weighing a bit under! Its still nice to see though hehe :D And from now on I'm just going to use the scale at my house for my weigh ins so I can have consistency.

Stuck well with my eating plan yesterday, but I felt a little conspicuous eating my loud smelly sandwich during class (which was a computer lab). It is a three hour class though, gotta stay on track somehow! Goal for next time is to try to find something a little quieter to eat.

Get to do weights with my boyfriend today since were both free during the evening :) always nice to have a workout buddy instead of going solo- although my iphone is a pretty awesome workout buddy I gotta say lol.

Question? Are we no longer allowed to display weight loss tickers in our signatures (ticker factory, etc) ? I was trying to add mine and it wouldn't work. I love that little ticker lol.

I had that issue with the scale at my Dr vs the scale at home. No matter...you are losing and thats what counts...good work!
