Life in stride, finally

So I've finally found a site I can have a regular journal that won't get deleted after a board revision--I had a journal on another board for 4 years...when they revamped their boards, it was gone..."poof" :(

Oh well...

I've been keeping a fitness log for the past few weeks....I just changed around my weight training plan for a few weeks, and am running, Doing Yoga, TaeBo DVD's that are great--everything from HIIT to bootcamp to resistance training--and ofcourse I'll keep mountain biking as long as I can til its too cold...I'm missing wakeboarding at the lake about now tho ;)

Food wise I've been focusing on attention to saiety and colorful eating as well as balance and getting enuf protein.

Today:
6am-3mi run, 200reps ab work

Breakfast: 3sm pancakes with real maple syrup(2tbsp) and 3/4c. blueberries, greek yougort with 2tbsp homemade pommegranite syrup, OJ, b12 supp. and multi vit.

Lunch Brn rice beans chx chz leftovers, peach, tomato soup cup and
carrots with sgl srv PB

snack: multigrain chips with fresh salsa, some marcona almonds and a beer(!)

Dinner veal chop, salads, and something naughty on the side--some calamari perhaps, mebbe even some red fat coffee ice cream for dessert!

ugh, I'm so slack....since I sub at the local schools this sites a great way to pass some down time, but at home I never seem to get here...

I've been changing up my strength training routines, varying sets, reps and excersizes and I've gotta say I love . Krista has some great routines, and the links to exrx.com and other sites are great for illustration/information.

So back early in the summer me & H waled out two dogs around the hood every nite, and the weight dropped off more than I actually wanted--never had that happen b4...so now that its colder and time is constraining we don't do the walks after dinner anymore and my weight has crept up. Unfortch, I need to still watch portions--I tend to overfill--and I really need to focus not on the scale read-out, but rather how I feel in and out.

As I've gotten older I notice I cant indulge in certain foods anymore...popcorn kills my tum, and so does the apple, and many whold grain prods. UGH.

For me the biggest challenge has always been consistency, in eating and fitness.

That said: Today I'm teaching HS English, so...

snack -svg of brazil nuts & nanna

walk the dogs since theyre up all day today--about 30-40min.
after school snack: grapes and a string cheeze stix
