Hi All,

As a long time watcher of the forum I thought it was about time that I decided to actually start a diary and put some of the inspiration that I have got of this website into practice.

I'm a Australian 28 year old female and have been within about 5kg of my current weight for the past 8 years. I'm sick of being a size 14 (and lately in denial about not fitting into size 14 clothes). My apple body shape results in me being wider mainly around the middle and chest areas. I'm a member of the gym but lately I've turned into one of those people that pay but don't go. Last week I went for the first time in 99 Days!! I know this thanks to the skinny gym chick that proudly annouced it like I had won the fat and lazy award of the week (yeah thanks).

So here we are 22 May 2010 and ready to change things (once again). I'm hoping that by starting this public diary that people will hold me accountable for my actions (or lack of), provide inspriation and encouragement, and finally share your experiences and advice.

If anyone would like to join me as a diet buddy I'm am happy to share this space with anyone that wants to write about their experience, particularly if you have/had a similar amount of weight to loose or similar body type. We can inspire each other.

My goal date is first week of September as this is the date that I leave for a beach holiday and I definately want to look hot in a bikini. 60kgs is a little ambitious but its my untimate goal though i'll be happy with 65kg by that date.

So tomorrow I'm going to start back at the gym. I was heavily into the gym last year when I went to one that had a trainer per every 5 people. It was a great motivator and I really enjoyed it. So I'm going to invest in some personal training sessions at my current gym, potentially one a week in order to keep me interested and challenged.

If anyone is interested I'll let you know how I go and what my plan is.

Hi hopeful, what is your current weight loss strategy? I mean, what are you
going to eat, when are you going to eat it, and how much of it are you going
to eat? And, most importantly, what are you NOT going to eat?

When will you have your cheat meals? How many times per week, will you
allow yourself to eat those foods you love, so that you don't fall of the
wagon because inside you feel deprived?

What are you going to drink, and what are you not going to drink?

How many times per week are you going to do cardio-training, for how long,
and at what intensity? Are you going to use weight training to build up muscle
during your weight loss program?

How are you going to track your progress? Weight scale, or body fat
measurements?

How are you going to stay motivated during your weight loss journey, and
how are you going to break through the plateaus that everyone eventually
hits on their way toward reaching their ideal weight?

Are you going to make the steps that you will use to reach your ideal weight
into long-term habits, that will help you to maintain your ideal body weight
once that you reach it?

These are just a few important questions that you should answer for yourself
when creating the FAT LOSS MASTER PLAN!!!

Without answering these questions before you start moving in the direction
of creating the body of your dreams, which is your primary health objective,
as I understand, it will be very difficult to stick with the program, no matter
how much external support that you get.

But, once you have this down on paper, or in an Excel file in your computer,
you TREMENDOUSLY increase your chances of not only reaching your ideal
weight, but also of being able to maintain it for life!
