Leslee's Diary - This time I'm doing it for me...

Thanks ladies...

Well only had 965 calories today...(was wondering why I feel so exhausted) managed to run this morning for 25 minutes, but it felt like a struggle for some reason...

No exercise tonight, had the kids to look after and now don't feel up to going downstairs to work out....

work is stressful at the moment and it would be now that my need for food would kick in...but to my surprise it is exactly the opposite....:D

Plan to do my hill run tomorrow and then will hopefully do some work with my skipping rope/bike/stepper and fit in some crunches and weights....well that is the plan anyway!:D

I've noticed that the more stressed I get the less I wanna eat... weird... anywyas, I don't blame ya for skippin part of your workout, especially with such low cals. Hope your day tomorrow is good- eat more!!

Well manged half my workouts yesterday, did my 30 minute run but had a show to go to last night and just couldn't fit in another workout despite good intentions...:D

Got in 1400 calories yesterday so that is a lot better, but boy work is stressful and I am exhausted:mad:

Slept through my 'alarm' this morning (not even on purpose) so have missed my run, will make sure I exercise tonight.

You're doing so good mumma! Keep it up. Hills runs are heart-breakers aren't they? But it sure does feel good when you make it to the top!
:D

Bedsy you are sooo right the only reason I inflict hill running on myself is the elation I feel when I get to the top...

Well got to do my evening workout tonight about 30 minutes, 20 minutes hard out on the bike, a few minutes on the stepper with my arm bands, about 20 bicep curls and 80 crunches of different varieties...

really had to work out as we had pizza hut for dinner, mind you I was quite restrained so it is all good!

Do you find that working out helps with your stress or do you find that you get too tired to want to work out. I don't deal well with stress. I always find that is when I eat the most and exercise less. But when I actually force myself to exercise I feel so much better for having done the exercise as opposed to munching on chips or chocolate and channel surfing until bed time.

Also I find that if I miss a work out or two I have such a hard time getting back into it.

Yep, I have to at least exercise every day or I get out of the swing of things, not so much now as I have started some real good habits (thank goodness)

I deal with stress really well and usually it doesn't effect me, I find the more tired I am the more I need to push myself to exercise at least once, it really helps. However I have been going over my fitday reports and it turns out my diet is really lacking in certain vitamins that could be making me more tired.

I was taking vitamins but the ones I was taking even though they were taken with food made me feel sick!

On the bright side, I got given a big box of chocolates from some teachers who came in to observe me and get some ideas...I didn't have even one...I gave them to the staff and watched them eat them...even I can't believe I did that I LOVE chocolate...however I know once I give myself permission to start I just can't stop!:p

I'm going to have to agree with Crunchie here. I would have had to eat at least one probably 2. I must say that putting food and treats into any staff room works wonderful especially if you can scoot on out of the staff room. There are always scavengers willing to eat treats. My problem is that sometimes I can be one of those scavengers. My hats off to you!

Well not a bad day today...went for a 20 minute run this morning and then walked an extra 10 minutes to cool down, usually don't run on Saturdays but felt I should because I missed that run on Friday.

Eating not bad today, normal special k cereal for breakfast, smoked chicken sandwich for lunch and a chicken bacon wrap with spinach, carrot tomato and a tiny bit of cheese.

Weigh in day tomorrow, however even though I have worked out every day this week i have not met my 2 workouts a day goal that I set myself other than one day. So don't think my weight loss will be anything to rave about, just hope I have not gained weight.:p

Well the weight loss verdict is...1.1lbs or .5kg...

Not where I wanted it, but better than gaining I guess.

I have 23 days left to lose 4kg (8.8lbs) to do this I need to lose 2.2lbs a week or just over 1kg. My average weight loss a week has been .9kg......I really want to do this.

So the plan is...

Exercise 6 days a week and on at least 4 of those days exercise twice. I am going to change the jogging to sprint training and do it like interval training to shake things up a bit, I will use my bike in the evening sessions, but also remember to include at least 5 minutes of skipping.

I am going to try to watch my diet even more carefully, however there isnt much I can do there as have been taking in an average of 1200 calories, but I do want to up my fruit and veg intake and limit breads more.

Heres hoping I can do this!!!!

No hoping about it- you can totally do it, as you have already proven you can :) your doing absolutely amazing~ keep it up :D

Thanks Jess...

Well started my sprint training this morning, worked out that on one of my normal short jogs I could fit about 5 sprints in comfortably while giving myself recovery time between sprints...I managed to fit 8 sprints in and boy was I pushing myself, even my arms were aching by the time I finished the last sprint.

I did 3 sprints up mild hills, 1 sprint downhill and the rest on the flat...

I really enjoyed it, I tried this once last time and hated it, but have worked out that I need to give myself more recovery time between sprints so that it is more beneficial...

About to go downstairs to do circuit training, will update later...:D

Update...

Did my circuit training tonight, session lasted 30 minutes and consisted of...

Stepper machine - with arm bands
Leg work - about 100 different leg lifts of various varieties:p
Skipping - 5 minutes
Abdominal work - 100 crunches of various sorts - a hundred from pilates
Stationary bike - 5 minutes level 3 flat out (whew)
Arm/weights work

Great workout, feels good to tick my two workouts off for the day, kept to my goal of no bread as well, lots of fresh vegetables today.

Calories eaten - 1119
Calories burned by exercise - 447

Feeling happy!:D

I'm out of breath. I think I just got a workout from reading yours. LOL if only. You truly are inspirational. I am turning off the TV right now and getting a move on.
