Leg day..... ARG!!!

I've been working out for a few years and have a quick question.

I did my legs yesterday, which I do twice a week, tuesday and saturday. I've been doing this for a couple years now, but this last workout made me soar like it was the first time Ive ever worked my legs. I always get a little sore, you know, the "good sore". I didnt change my weight dramatically or anything. Does this ever happen to anyone else?
I didnt pull or strain anything, I know what that feels like.

Maybe you were just tired and didn't get enough rest. My theory is that you might have worked your legs a lot that day before working out. Like you walked around too much or something.

How are your gains from training legs twice a week? Are you getting stronger (increasing weight or reps)? Have you put on any size? Or, have you hit a plateau.

Ive put on a little size, but mostly just ripped em up. My legs will probably never get real big, due to the fact that I run a few miles a day, and my job is physical. The strength in my legs is better than its ever been, and I played soccer for 22 years.
I started working them twice a week when I hurt my back a couple years ago. I couldnt do an intense workout on my legs without feeling pain in my back, so I lightened up the workout and did it twice a week. My back quit bothering me, and had plenty of time to heal. I just like the workout now, so I havent changed back.

same thing happened to me

I have been training for the last year and I found that one of the muscles I most enjoyed training were my hamstrings. I would do the exercise slowly and controlled and I could feel myself getting stronger everytime.
At first I only added reps, went from 3 sets of 10 reps to 3 sets of 13 reps making sure I kept a controlled slow motion) then after a month or two I added some weight and went back to 10 reps. I gained strenght steadilt and was ready to add more weight (but did not do this yet) when a few weeks ago I felt a weird feeling after a workout, like the nerves in my hamstrings were shocked.
After about 20 minutes this went away but my next workout it came back. Then that workout when I was running at the end on the treadmill I felt clicking in the back of my knee on my right leg, then the next few days my right knee was hurting. I decided to not exercise the hamstrings for a few days and my knee got better but now I feel like I might have torn the ligaments of the hamstrings where they connect to the knee joint.
Any suggestions or comments anyone?
