Alright... I have been here a long time, but I've also been gone for a while... and I've been other places... but I really miss all of you wonderful PEOPLE! all the support and all the great voices of encouragement and all the ways in which I can share my story as well...

I started changing my life in January of '05 - I weighed 172 lbs... by December of last year, I was down to 132lbs... now I'm around 140 and I want to get back down around 130 and keep it all off...

So I'm back!

My plan - eat around 1500 cals/day - but more importantly - limit my fat cals to 300/day, lift weights and do cardio 3x a week for 30 min each, drink 64 oz of water each and every single day...

I've been doing good the past few days - I go to the gym MWF with some friends from school and I'm eating okay... but i'll just start posting todays info

bkfst: tea (10,0) + peach yogurt (80,0) + marathon bread (75,?)
lunch: chicken noodle soup (100,20) + california chicken salad (175,108)
snack: soy latte (210,35) + apple (75,0)
dinner: couscous w/ chutney (270,10) + chicken breast (150,30) + half ear sweet corn (100,50) + 2 blue moon (340,0)


total cals: 1585, 223 (so far)
h2o: 8oz + 32
exercise: a bit of walking

oh goodness... I had a rough and along week... so i did splurge and have a beer tonight... i'll be better tomorrow!!!
 
alright... weigh-in this morning was 141... doing the halloween challenge, so here we go - my daily water intake goal is 70 oz...

bkfst: bagel w/ cream cheese (355,35 + 150,110)
lunch: 1 dark chocolate covered almond (25,15) + turkey on white w/ light mayo (275, 65) + yogurt (80,0)
dinner: chicken breast w/ sauce (200,100) + mixed veggies (120,5) + salad (50,50) + dinner roll (150,50) + tea (20,0) + peach cobbler (300,60)

total cals:1705, 490
h2o: 32 oz + 32 oz + 10 oz = 74!!!!
exercise: 30 min elliptical, 30 min weights

grrr... dinner tonight could have been MUCH better... stupid homemade peach cobbler =( I was at a retreat/conference thingy with all of this free food, and it is so hard to think about portions - I should have done better!!!
 
oh - good news however... for the halloween challenge we have to drink half our weight in water.... today I got in 74 which is OVER my goals =) whee!!!
 
It's very hard to resist free food!! Just know that that's not an all the time thing, so don't beat yourself up over it. You're doing great!
 
Hey, WTG on your water!

I agree, you can't beat yourself up, it used to keep me from moving on! You'r allowed somethign here or there, thats why "diets" fail, b/c of deprevation, so as long as you keep that in check, you'll be fine!

hehehe... more free food this morning...

bkfst: small portion scrambled eggs, 3 french toast sticks, 2 slices bacon, 8oz oj, 2 cups coffee, fruit salad (calories?)

snack: hot cocoa (80,25) + bread (200,50)

lunch/snack: 2 bowls special k (320, 20)

dinner: tacos (760,280)

Well, not so good on food choices today... lunch was good, but dinner - bleh! stupid fiance =) It was good though, so i'm not going to complain - I'm just going to do better tomorrow! =)
 
I wonder why weekends are always so hard?? I like to go out on the weekends too, who wants to cook??

Its hard too whenyou are w/ someone who is not on a diet. My hubby constantly eats junk...makes it hard.

anyways, your doing great girl, tommorrow's monday, lets show them what we are made of!!
 
alright.. i've promised myself that I would post food, even on bad days... so although i'm not going to add up the calories - here is honestly what I ate...

bkfst: krispy kreme donut, cup of tea
lunch: potluck - little bit of everything + dessert
snack: last of my brownie madness icecream (about a cup worth) + half of 100 cal pack popcorn
dinner: 3 slices stuffed crust pizza hut pizza :eek: + a beer

didn't get in my water =( for the second day in a row =(

hey - i've gotta be honest!!!

TODAY = MUCH BETTER

breakfast: special k w/ skim (160,10)
lunch: special k w/ skim (160,10)
snack: bagel w/ cream cheese (500,130) + coffee (80,50)
dinner: veggie soup (90,5) + chips (140,70)
snack: slice of leftover pizza (350,108)

total cals: 1480, 383
exercise: i overslept and missed the gym... might go tomorrow to make up for it!
h2o: 32+16+16+8= 72 oz

Wow 74 ounces of water is awesome. I'm afraid I'm going to let the team down on this one because I really am lucky if I can get over 70 ounces on a typical day and I can push that up to 100 if I really try, but I can't possibly do 150 and there is just now way I can do 220.

hehe, it's not like you have a shitload of weight to lose, can't a girl have a fun night out without guilt ??
 
lol! I think that in itself was a kick in the pants!

Oh, I can have a night of fun - but this was a whole weekend of not paying attention to what I ate.. I guess I'm more concerned abut letting my team down =) but I'm not taking it too rough - just trying to be honest
