well, starting on 22nd May, I have been hitting the gym everyday, some days the routines take 30 -40 minutes, some days it takes 2 hours.

I have not done any cardio, but now am past DOMS (delayed onset of muscle soreness) and my workout sessions are refreshing and good.

I am thinking of getting back to my 2hrs per day jumping together with the gym routine. This is going to be intense but am gonna try and get it to work.

I thought of getting into this in one week past joining the gym, but I was getting pains all over the body, unable to lift stuffs and unable to wear and remove my own shirt and trousers, so I had to wait this long. I have been eating right and things and looking up in the category of weight loss.

Starting the jump rope thingy again from today. Here we go.

Okay, I have been on this forum, on and off. I checked in once in a while. Things are back to the way they were before. No workouts, just work.

I was hitting the gym and sorta got back in shape and got good with dieting and then again, work ruined everything. I had to stop.
I don't have the motivation or the time to go back to gym so I am just thinking of getting back to jump rope once again.

Not 2 hours per day this time. Just 40 minutes per day.

Am gonna try and be consistent with this. Not a freaky run but a decent run and a regular one. I am thinking of keeping up the time with this try. Let me give it a try first.

If it works out for me at 6 in the morning, then I am gonna try and do it at six in the morning every damn day there on.
If evening timing works, then evening.

So, to sum it up.
Am gonna have the below as my goals with this workout session try,

1. Am gonna do 40 minutes (minimum) everyday. (I will physically stay ready for a 40 minute run, at one stretch, with no intermissions).
2. Am gonna do it at the same time everyday. (I will stay prepared for the timing and let go off other commitments at that times).

This is a try but I will give it my best. Let me take one week to regulate this.

Wish me luck...

Well, all my attempts at restarting my jump rope routines were foiled, of course by myself. It is time I changed track and did something else, for good.
I had a pretty stressful lifestyle in the last year and it took a toll on my health too.

Am gonna try P90X workout program. Heard good things about it and my friend (who happens to know good shit about workouts) told me that this would be good for me. So am going for it. I tried it a bit and it sorta fizzled out and I had to restart.

My performance with my workout plans were good when I put it out there for people to read and I felt better doing that as well. I am looking to take the benefit of doing that once again. I will log in my performance with this program as well, here and see how far I go with it.

well, I did my first day at P90x, and sorta bonked in the middle. I have tried this a week back and the same happened. That is okay as of now as am planning to give myself one week of buffer time till I get this right, which is no excuse for any laps, but am sure am doing the best I can.

So I sorta did a 20-25 minutes of workout but failed to complete the cycle. Will move on to the second day tomorrow.

I wanna log my diet as well, but today I fucked up, maybe from tomorrow I can register that onto this place.

Cheers...

This is really odd, I have been switching with the workout sessions back and forth and then get all confused but fail to stick with one.

I am back to Jumping ropes. Committing to 1 hour per day. Again. Starting from today. Am aiming to do 1hr jump rope every single day of the week.
Starting from today.

This switching back and forth sucks but I have to do something, I have to stick with something. Jump rope seems more local, more friendly for me. I feel comfortable with it. I am gonna give it a go again.

DAY 1

1 hour of Jump Rope done.

I promise to keep this going at least at a minimal of 1hr of jump rope per day. Maximum I can go upto 2 but at minimum, I promise to keep it at 1 hour per day.

Cheers

DAY 2

1 hour of Jump Rope done.

I almost gave up. Found two things.
First, It is good to start in the morning and finish it in the morning than dragging it till late night.
Second of all, Time flies. So, I don't have to focus on the fact that it could get boring or I will get too tired.

Perfect. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Cheers

Hi,

Don't think I've been to your diary before. I'm Butterfly. I wish you luck on your weigh loss journey. Good job jump roping for an hour!

DAY 3

1 hour of Jump Rope done.

Somehow it ended up being at the evening time. I want to get this done in the morning, first thing, so that I don't have to have this at the back of my mind. :(.

It is really tough though, to bring myself to do this. I am hoping this will continue. If I start in the morning time I have a better chance of not relapsing to my previous lifestyle of no workouts.

I also have to watch what I eat. I have become extremely aware of how much am taking in, just because am doing the 1 hour jump rope thingy. I am feeling enormously guilty if I go above the limit.

So far am eating sensibly. I have to be more choosy and should eat the right amount, not more not less. I am thinking of entering the eating timings onto my journal from tomorrow onward.

Cheers

How about splitting the jump rope between morning & night? An hour is a long time out of a morning.

Yeah, I did that for two days, for day 1 and day 2 and then day 3 and day 4 are straight one hour sessions. I am only doing evening sessions now. Will have to try morning from here on only, but splitting it up would give me more energy and time as well. Will try that cate, thanks.

DAY 4

1 hour of Jump Rope done.

I have to stop looking at Jump rope as something special or some sort of an accomplishment, doing one hour of jump rope per day. I have to blend it into my lifestyle. The way am struggling to make that one hour of workout out of the day says a lot. I am looking at it as if it is some sort of a course, a span of time going ahead, but sadly it is not so. It is a lifestyle to be adopted. Working out should be part of life. It should stay there that way. Good eating habits go hand in hand with this. 50/50. I should drop the "hey I did it today" attitude and should go more with "how much of a radio silence I have towards my working out everyday, did I just workout and move on with my day to day activities or did I think away a chunk of time on working out other than the time spent on actually working out".

On a different note, what is with these fake hunger? I had a good meal and two hours later am hungry. I got some enlightenment from the below video, was very useful but still am lost as far as dealing with hunger is concerned.

Cheers

I would be interested to know what you are eating. Would you mind putting down just one day's "normal" eating for us to have a look kal-el. Maybe you are not eating enough protein. Cheers.

I have been eating 4 meals a day, but now am coming down to three meals a day.

Morning, 9/10
I take three idlis or two dosas.
(Tea/coffee in between)
At 1 noon,
I take two bowls of rice with lots of vegetables (cooked/seasoned as a dish of course, usually two to three vegetables)
(Tea/Coffee in between)
at 7:30 evening,
2 vegetable masala cutlet + 1 watermelon juice(no sugar)
at 9:30 night
1 dosa with minimal side dish.(no vegetables),

and here is where it gets interesting
1 coffee/tea or usually a small cup of oats in milk, at 11 in the night. (which I guess is a very huge contributor to my insomnia(psychosomatic of course)).

I wake up at 8. Sleep at 12 usually sometimes 1/2/3. (I hate myself).

okay.

I jump at around 6 in the evening, if am up early morning 7:30. (am just 5 days in, so am not getting ahead of myself with jump rope, I am gonna give it my best though).

I am looking to avoid, milk and sugar, but now they are solid part of my eating habit now.

Protein as you were saying is in there. Sufficient amount, but carbs are more.

DAY 5

1 hour of Jump Rope done.

My evil brain is asking me to eat it all away and bring the calorie count back to +500 in excess, like it used to be, somehow, before I hit the bed.

arrgghhhh.

cheers...
