Hi, I'm 16, 11st, 5ft 10.
I'm pretty active - playing football / jogging now and then / cycling ditto. My aim in working out is to look good for the summer. However much I achieve, though - I counter thorugh bingeing.
I suppose you could call me a druggie because I'm hooked on the most easily available and cheapest drug on the market - food.
What I'm asking, really is the best way of - not so much losing weight - but getting in shape. Right now I'm probably the most self-conscious person on the planet. Whereas my mates are all (very few young people are overweight nowdays) fit and confident, im not really "fat" but have a slightly chubby look - which makes me completely self-conscious and (whatever the word for the opposite of confident is).
I've done some research, and the bottom line seems to be do a mix of anerobic and aerobic exercise, and allow a day or so between bouts of anerobic.
As I only recently started weightlifting, im only benching about 20KG and curling around the same. Im doing about 50 bench's / curl's per session, and whenevr I want throughout any particular day (sometimes, 1, sometimes not at all, sometimes a few times). For a routine which isn't particularly intense (Im not going for an Arnie look) would you still suggest I have a day's rest between 'lifting sessions?
Also, my nutrition is a big problem. I've tried a hellova lot of stuff - extreme diets ie only protein once. Right now I'm on a pretty normal diet, but I dont really know what I should be eating. With school and everything, should I go for: Bowl if cereals in the morning / light lunch (or no lunch) / dinner of pasta / rice / potato based meal?
Thanks! Any advice would be really pretty darn helpful!
