Just looking to lose a bit

Hey all, first time posting here and I could use some help. I would like to just lose some pounds in my stomach, im not obese, I can run and all just find, but I have noticed recently some of my old clothes from high school don't fit so well around my stomach anymore lol, I have been out of high school for four years and I would like to just get back into better shape really. My friend offered P90X to me, I tried it for a bit but I don't think that's what I am looking for. It was fun but that was some extreme workout for pro athletes or something, like I said, I am just looking for a simple workout/diet to lose just a few pounds specifically in my stomach.
 
I tried P90x, it's definitely fun. But it's hard for me to stay motivated by myself. What I do instead is beginner ballet and kung fu lessons.

Why don't you look up some yoga/dance/martial arts classes around where you live? They're fun, motivating (with the right teacher/classmates), and group lessons are usually quite cheap. =)
 
You tried P90X? Ok cool, I was wondering on there, is there a few workouts I can do to just accomplish what I am trying to do on the P90X discs? I know there is a specific order and diet and blah blah, but if I try to stay on schedule like that or stick to a hardcore diet, I will lose motivation.
 
You can use the P90x workouts just as they are, you don't HAVE to stick to a specific order or do the meal plan. If you have them available you might want to try them for atleast a bit before you decide not to use them. It does look like it would kick your ass, but they are suppose to be a really good workout.

If you want something less demanding just make sure it's something you will keep doing and not get tired of.

You can also lose weight without exercise, just less calories then you burn. No specific diet, eat healthy well balanced foods that you like. And unfortunatley you can't target specific weight loss, so stomach crunches can't make you lose stomach fat. Weight usually comes off the reverse order you put it on, so if you mostly have just stomach fat that is probably where you will lose it. Good luck.
