23rd July 2009 8:30pm - First walk in well over a year! - I am listening to an audio book called Small Blue Dot by Carl Sagan. Awesome book, only intended to walk 10 mins then back to the car. Here are the results

I know its looks like a really short distance over a long time, but trust me this really is one small step for Man one giant leap for Juggy Kind! My Ankles hurts lots when I got back to the car, I felt really exhausted but I had a smile on my face. I hadnt ever noticed I had walked completed around the lake! :) Why was a smiling when i was in so much self impossed pain! Well thats easy and to quote Michael J Fox - It only gets better from here!

Well go me! managed my second walk today, and I feel pleased and annoyed! Annoyed that I didnt get out over the weekend, but please I did this morning.

Its not much compared to sum, but my ankles hurt at the end I was starting to sweet. So I guess its the right level for now.

Weight this morning is 22St 3lbs. Nothing to shout about yet but its 2lbs off is less than a week. So need another 1lb by Thursday.

Still feeling very mixed about my marriage breakup but trying to use it to fuel my need for change. I know I will miss her for a very long time but If I can turn that greif into focus and determination then it will not be for nothing!

Got some special K for Breakfast this morning gonna have it around 9 ish. So I dont get hungry for dinner untill dinner time!

Great effort well done, we can all only work at our own limit and not anybody elses :)
 
So I need a goal, other than weight related. So My walking comfort limit seems to be about 1 3/4 miles. At which point my ankles start to hurt. My first none weight goal is to walk 5 miles without my ankles hurting or at least without having to stop. I will set a goal of 1 Jan 2010. It sounds like a long time but if I can improve my distance week on week I should manager.

So Week 1 . - 27th July 2009. Goal is 2 miles by Sunday 2nd August 2009 increase of 500 meters, so I will go for an extra 100m a day. untill I hit 3000m. Then stay there until Sunday.

Week 2 - Maintain 3000m

Week 3 - 3500m

And So On. I will upated this post as I progress. Let me know if you think I am either pushing it or going to far, I guess if I listen to my body I should be fine.

WEIGHT IS STILL 313LBS. Not 1 single 1lb off.


So seems I hit the standard, 3 day wall and conviently forgot about my walking and new life. HOW DO I IT! I even hit Mac donalds again. Not content with one meal I ate 2 Large ones in sitting! WTF AM I DOING!

Step 2................. FOCUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need to learn to focus over the space of more than 3 days, SO for the next week I will log in here ever morning and night and type something about how I feel what my problems are and how my excercise is going. Im 37 Years old Tomorrow. ITs another one of those markers that is easy to focus on. What will I be doing this time next year? will I be thinking about starting a healthy life or will I be living it?

Im such a jerk sometimes. Anyway enough said.

Todays walk was actually really hard, Im on leave for the next 2 weeks and cannot afford to go away so I am using it as my step up to fitness.

Just done a nice 20 lengths of the local pool! very tired but pleased with myself.

GN all. 2 hours till im 37! wonder what I will be doing when im 2 hours away from 38?

Here is to me , a toast... Happy Birthday Juggy! Heres to the next 12 months and my 10% target. :) 33lbs to go.

Thanks NightRunner :) Incredible what a difference a day can make! :) Well im 37 and some how I feel more grown up all of a sudden! :p

going to meet my dad in Wales today and will be waliking with him, so no walk this morning. Just a light stretch as my legs are aching from yesterday.
