Juggaling Workout&Football

Football is coming up, and im wondering if my body is going to be able to handle both practice and working out. Last year practice alone killed me, but i wasn't anywhere as good in shape as i am now. Id hate to just stop working out, as ive seen so much gains. But i dont want to overtrain. I guess i should just keep working out and practice and see how it goes?
 
could you talk to your coach about this? Maybe lower the volume of your workouts a bit? If you feel its too much, you can just lower the volume/intensity etc to make it managable.
 
during my football season i cut all cardio out of my workouts besides maybe a quick warmup because i get more then enough from practices alone, but i keep lifting. I workout a little less often during the season and never the day before games to make sure im not sore, but i find its helpful and beneficial to keep lifting.

you dont want to overtrain your body though, so if its too tough just lower the intensity of the workout
