Hey Steve,
Your persistence and determination are incredibly inspiring. I started reading through your diary because your posts seem to be backed up by a lot of knowledge and experience. I noticed someone asked recently if they could see a picture of "fat Steve." Did you every actually have a high percentage of body fat? It's hard to imagine when you look at the pictures of you. Forgive me if you have previously discussed this in an early entry in your journal but I'm sure you can understand that I do not have the time to read through all 300+ pages that have been documented. If it is has already been discussed then perhaps I can simply be pointed to which page of your journal I can read this information?
I really admire your common sense, no bull-shit approach to your posts and advice.
Hey, thanks for stopping in! Always nice to have new, 'untainted' visitors, lol.
Don't get sucked into the debauchery!!!
About me being fat: I'm not sure what my highest body fat has ever been. I can tell you that I've never been 'fat' in the traditional sense. On the other hand, growing up I was grossly thin for a guy. That's what really supplied the fuel to get my butt in a gym and lift weights. Soon after that though, I simply fell in love with the entire lifestyle.
Last winter, I reached my heaviest weight. Although I added a lot of muscle, the fat was definitely starting to accumulate on the belly! I have a pretty good idea what I can and can't tolerate physically speaking. Psychologically though, it was tough seeing a 'gut.'
You'll find though that I go through phases of buiding up and then breaking down..... bulking and cutting respectively.
Most of my focus in the trainer/trainee sense has been with overweight populations. That is where my passion lies.
I'm glad you acknowledge and respect the no bull-shit approach. Some are turned off by it, especially around here.... but with me, it's really what you see is what you get.
Thanks so much.
