Journey, Not A Destination

In Mal's wonderful world of fantasy and perversion...

The house chore scene plays as follows :)

Steve dressed in an animal print briefest of brief undies... and nothing else :) all nicely glossy though :) holding the vacuum in one hand, while lifting the sofa, the chair, the dining room table and vaccuuming around it - all the while flexing :)

Oh yeah and he can fetch me grapes occassionally too :)

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for keeping my journal warm.

I don't have time to post to each person one by one, but:

1) The wedding was fantastic. Better than planned. I can't tell you how many people told me it was the best wedding they had ever attended. It was the only wedding I've ever been to where literally everyone was dancing and having a blast.

2) Hawaii has been a dream come true. I could sooooo see myself living out here someday, although I don't think personal training is big. But I don't really know. The sights and views are just astonishing. The entire trip has been in Maui. It started on west Maui which is very populated and great night life. We are now in east Maui. A small town called Hana, actually. We are staying in one of the premier hotels in the world, believe it or not, which really is NOT my style. I've never seen so many snobs in my life, but I just shake them off. There is no air conditioning and no televisions, which is odd and hot, but all in all, it's beautiful here too.

I've taken lots of pics, ruined a camera in the process. Thank the sweet Lord the memory card stayed in tact. I'll post what, if any pics are good once I return.

3) The flight out here was amazingly terrible. Our layover was in Las Vegas. It was scheduled to be 90 minutes. We boarded our plane and all hell broke lose before we even got to the runway. The off-shore radio communications stopped working, the one toilet started to over-flow all over the place, and supposedly they forgot to finish filling the fuel (which I really don't believe). However, we ended up sitting on the plane for an additional 4 hours!

After the wedding, all my friends and I stayed at a local hotel. We got picked up for the airport at 8am. We arrived at our hotel in Maui the next day at 6:30 eastern time. Talk about terrible.

4) I leave tomorrow evening (Hawaii time) and am due in to PA late on Thursday. Pray for me that I don't have any hold-ups on this flight or you might see me on the news strangling an airline employee! :)

I hope everyone is well and I look forward to getting back into the normal swing of things.

awwww i'm so happy for you mr and mrs steve :D it must have been a beautiful wedding. i just love weddings where people actually have fun :) and i'm glad you're enjoying your honeymoon. keeping my fingers crossed the trip home goes smoothly :D
a big hug to you
Lena

Sorry to hear about the plane trouble, but so glad to hear about a beautiful wedding!! I love weddings and always cry. There is nothing like finding your soulmate and the commitment of spending the rest of your life together!! It has been lonely without you in her, hoping for your speedy return!!:hug2:

bugger about the plane stuff Steve.

Cant wait for pics of the wedding though :D

Anyway, I know you're busy and all that, ill check back every now and again. But i wanted to ask you a question. You recall a while back me saying i was interested in the body building side of things. Well i got myself an awesome PT whos been pushing me pretty hard (which is awesome also).
I was wondering how heavy is heavy when it comes to leg presses. currently i do 275.5lb each leg (thats 551lb both legs). Is it harmful to do too much weight? can you do yourself damage or break bones etc?

Glad you had an amazing wedding and honeymoon :) Sorry about the plane troubles but I must be honest and say I chuckled a little with the toilet bit :rotflmao:

are ya back yet
are ya back yet
huh huh huh??

Hope you had an uneventful flight and are gettiing to sleep in deliciously late this morning...

Morning everyone :)

I'm still sleepy!! One of my cats missed me so much and he won't leave me alone. Jumping in bed rubbing my face, meowing constantly if I leave the room he is in..... so I finally woke up. I missed one whole night of sleep.... thankfully I have a few days to catch up.

Ain't that strange how you bust perceptions. Who'd have thought a muscle bound gentleman would be so soppy as to have awww, cats?!

Sorry to hear about your plane palaver - I hope the wedding and honeymoon went fantastic! Now that you're married, here's to hoping you don't pack this healthy living malarkey all in, get fat and sit on the sofa all day watching Oprah :D

Have a lovely day!

If you can lift it, it ain't too heavy.

But a program focusing on heavy leg presses instead of heavy squats is a program that is robbing you of optimal results.

Haha, if I didn't get fat on this past trip..... there is no getting fat for me ever.

And I hate the Oprah show! :p

Hey, Steve. Glad you had such a great time in Hawaii. Marlene and I used to live there, around 1976 - before you were born, LOL. It really is a beautiful place, but after a while we got "rock fever."

So sorry to hear about the plane flight. There's a group somewhere on the web that's collecting experiences like yours to help push for a Passenger's Bill of Rights. Basically, it would be against the law for an airline to hold you against your will on the tarmac for more than 3 hours I think. I used to fly 200,000 miles a year; I would go nuts if I had to do that these days.

Now you start life as a married man. You can slow down on the exercising, sit on the couch a bit more, and let that fat start accumulating around your gut -- like the rest of us poor souls! :D
