Journey, Not A Destination

Steve, just a quick post to say that I do enjoy your posts and advice - harsh as it sometimes may appear (sort of the Simon Cowell of the Board ;) ) - it all sounds like good well informed stuff and I do enjoy your views. You have debunked a few 'myths of weight loss and nutrition' for us - well done!

Steve is not like Simon! lol he's so nice about everything. LoL Everything else is true though hehe:p That was funny toothless

Hiya Steve! Hope you are having a fantastic Monday. Today is a great day. :)

Off to sing and dance somewhere else. :D

I must say, I am impressed with your adherance and it is obviously paying off! Very cool. :)

The beauty of lifting the way that you are is simple: People don't realize that when you do cardio, the steady state variety anyways which most do around here, you burn the calories while you exercise, and then it's over. When you lift in a fashion that I set up for you in your journal, calorie burn goes on for hours after the workout. Your caloric burn can be elevated for 24hours even. Makes a word of difference, when compared to your lousy steady state cardio. :)

Remember, all plans lead to plateaus, so stay on your toes and modifications will have to be made along the way.

Thanks for the kind words. Simon Cowell, huh. I like the guy, so no harm there. He calls it as he sees it... and that is what you get from me.

Funny thing is, 99% of the time when I am posting here, I don't mean to be harsh at all. But you are not the first to say this to me, so I must have a side to me that comes out in my writing.

So be it, I am who I am. :D

and we like you that way Steve .... as long as we don't confess to eating 1000 cals per day on the Atkins Diet whilst running 20 miles per day and lifting sets of 50 reps to tone our muscles ;)

I like Simon too. I like that he doesn't sugar coat everything, and nor do you! It's nice to get some straight forward answers without having to dance around topics. If I'm doing something that's going to hurt myself, I'd rather someone tell me that it may not be the best way to go about it. If I don't like what they say, I ignore it. What effect do their words really have on my everyday life..

In this case, a positive effect, since I listened. :D

Boy do I feel bad for the one soul who actually read through this entire journal. Haha, there are bits and pieces of info buried among our general banter.

dont' scare him with such thoughts... that'd give the fella nightmares for months... years even :)

I'm currently obsessed with cookies this week because i've promised them to two differnt people and i keep getting nagged for them...

Oh that reminds me, I have time now to look for that list! lol

Our very own simon..huh? I didn't watch much american idol, but from what I understood, Simon is mean?

i should really confine my perversion to my own diary... i have a knack for corruption..

if you just put my posts in ignore then it's all sorts of good info..

Been there, done that, lost some weight doing it. But I kind of thought that was what this whole site was all about. So where's the problem? :D
