Kasey's weightloss Diary
Hmmm where to start, where to start. Let’s see. My name is Kasey. I am a 23yr. old mother, girlfriend, combat veteran, sport bike rider living in Florida. I am in the middle of my journey to losing weight. My baby baggage I call it.
Growing up I was a very chubby kid. If I can remember correctly when I was 14yrs old I weighed 181 and im 5’3” [I was shorter when I was 14 so you can imagine]. Honestly it never really bothered me either that I was overweight until I was in High School. Sadly I was the girl who complained about her weight but never did anything about it. [I will admit, that is a pet peeve of mine now. I hate it when someone complains about being overweight and than 20mins. Later they are chowing down on Burger King] When I was a junior in HS everyone started looking into colleges and all that stuff. Not me, I wanted to join the Military. I went down the local recruiting station with my friend and talked to the recruiter. He than asked me to follow him to the other office where the scale was because he wanted to see how much I weighed. It was sad. Basically I was to fat to join and the recruiter told me to lose the weight and if im still interested in joining than to come back. That day changed me for the rest of my life.
I immediately started eating healthy and dropping all of the sweets and bad food I used to eat and honestly it didn’t bother me one bit! I wasn’t an active person. I couldn’t run no more than 200ft without feeling like I wanted to shrivel up and die. I was so out of shape and I had no one but myself to teach me and get my ass into shape and that’s exactly what I did. I started off power walking everyday after dinner [6-7pm-ish] I walked about 2 miles. Within 2 months the weight started to melt off. Everyone started noticing which made me even more motivated and determined. I than went back to the recruiter and he was utterly shocked that I had actually lost the weight to join on up. He weighed me and CHA-CHING! I was 10lbs UNDER the weight limit for my height to join! I had lost 50lbs in 4.5-5months just by eating healthy and [than] moderate exercise. I went on off to Boot Camp and the rest is History.
I stayed active and healthy and kept the weight off since that day the recruiter told me that I was basically a fat ass. I became a gym regular and loved working out. I never went back to fast food; even to this day I think it’s disgusting. After Boot camp I became obsessed with running. I LOVE to run… I know im weird but it makes me feel so energized and fit! I’m not a fast runner mind you but im an endurance runner… I’m like the energizer bunny. I keep going and going and going. ANYWAYS….
Last May my BF and I found out I was pregnant BIG SURPRISE! Yes it was a complete shock. I have been on BC for 5 years and always took it regularly. He had just gotten back from Iraq and well they weren’t lying when they said that sh*t is potent! I went through a really bad depression while pregnant. I couldn’t believe I was going to have a baby. I also got a glimpse of the future and ALL THE WEIGHT I was going to gain and it made me even MORE depressed.
Fast forward to February 21, 2008. Jayden Michael is born and he is a beautiful healthy 8.15oz baby boy! He is such a little cutie! He left me with 80lbs of excess weight and a saggy belly over a c-section scar. I have come to terms that my stomach will never EXACTLY go back to the way it used to but you better believe I am going to work my ass off to get it somewhat decent because I REFUSE to have surgery to fix it. It already has gone down a lot, but it still has a ways to go.
I wanted to workout so bad after I had my baby but my doctor told me not to because she didn’t want me to do something that would compromise the healing of where I had my c-section. So… I settled with moderate walking, which was alright but I wanted to RUN! I started running 6 weeks after I had him. I now run 3-4 times a week which averages out to be 12-15 miles a week. I also run up and down the bleachers at the High School which is A LOT harder than it looks lol. I am also eating 6 times a day and eating only healthy food. I have lost 50lbs already and im really proud of myself. I have 30 more pounds to lose before I reach my pre-pregnancy weight. I am hoping to lose that weight by October 21 which is my 24th BDay. Once I reach that goal I want to lose another 15lbs.
So won’t you come with me down the weight loss road? My journey to becoming a MILF!

Height- 5’3”
Weight [BEFORE BABY]: 155
Weight [WHEN BABY WAS BORN]: 239
Current Weight: 189
