Hi, my name is Jean and I am 35 years old and I want to lose 72 pounds by the end of this year. I am going to do this by exercising 5 days a week. Walking one mile per day and using my elliptical for 20 minutes each morning. I am going to try not to eat more then 1500 calories per day and I am going to write down everything I eat and monitor how many calories I have each day.

Today is the first day of my new goal. I beleive that it is very realistic and it is motivating for me to have goals. I hope to get the support I need from reading other people's threads and ideas.

if you havent and i don't remember if i said this before -but you might want to check out -it's a free site that acts as an online food journal and gives you pretty good info about what you are taking in -
 
Hi JellybellyJean - what a cute name :D Welcome to the WLF and your diary! Sounds like you have a good plan to start you off. Good luck - you'll be changing your name to NoJellyBellyJean in no time! ;)
