Hi, im new on here but have just been reading some posts on here for a while. Im 18 and a student at university, and currently don't have scales at hand but from what i remember in early January i had a BMI of around 30.
So around the 12th of January i decided to go on a diet. I've increased my intake of fruit and veg. I eat smaller portions. Eat wholemeal bread.
I've cut out - chips, burgers, biscuits, cakes, sweets, meats other than chicken e.t.c.... my food shopping has gotten cheaper too.
Today i tried on a top that i haven't been able to wear in months now because it was too tight and it fits =D. Its not tight on the arms and the stomach. Im really happy.
I didn't know if i was losing weight or not but i guess i am. Im really hoping to lose weight on my thighs though. I have trouble buying jeans because of this. I have a small waist, but have to go up sizes because of the size of my thighs =s and have to wear a belt (i know it may sound weird.)
I'll have to purchase some cheap scales or something and keep track of my weight. I don't want to call this new healthy eating a "diet" as its something i'd like to maintain... a healthier lifestyle!
