I've hit the same wall too many times!

I'm skinny fat; not overweight by any means, just lumpy and REALLY out of shape. Well like many dieters without a lot of active exercise - or even with - I keep bouncing against a wall that seems to be made of titanium enforced steel, so I give up and bounce back up. I'm back at my very first starting weight.

This time I promise myself I'm gonna go through that wall even if it's only by a pound. I have 22 pounds of fat to lose before I'm at my ultimate goal of 18% body fat. I can't think of anything I want more than to have a healthy body. That means I'll have to exercise... which I'll try to not complain about. :) Diet alone doesn't keep the pounds off: lesson learned.

Welcome. I don't know what skinny fat even means.

height weight and age are meaningful around here. The rest is hard to picture.

It sounds like you know what you've got to do so start a diary and get to it.
