Hey guys, I joined this site just a week or two ago and I thought I'd start a log of my progress. Run down on me is that I used to be a super fit kid a couple of years ago and due to a few injuries and getting to college and having less time to do much of anything I am now 22 years old, 6'3 tall, and weigh 250 pounds. My weight loss goal is to get back down to approximately 180, although I'd rather look and feel good than necessarily get down to that number. I have created a plan for myself to get into shape with a few simple rules.
1) Drink a big glass of water before each meal, drink a gallon throughout the day.
2) Don't eat any carbs after 3 pm.
3) Get plenty of sleep.
4) Wear an odometer at all times and take at least 10,000 steps total throughout the day.
5) Include protein and fiber at each meal, even if it's in the form of a protein shake if my meal doesn't contain much.
6) Workout with heavy weights minimum of 3x per week.
In order to help push myself to follow my rules and get in shape I have convinced my sister to do Toughmudder with me in late September in Kansas City so I will have approximately 6 months to train for it and hopefully see major changes by then. I'm heading to go back home tomorrow because of spring break so I won't have the luxury of going to a gym to workout but luckily I'll be able to eat healthy, get plenty of rest, and walk.
