I do not have real support that i feel is needed here in my home, so i will just show what i have accomplished on here an share my own story as many other have.

Hello Laura Ann,

Welcome to the forum! We specialize in people just like you! The great thing about this site is that you can actually say what you want to without feeling embarrassed or ashamed (where else can you do that?!!). There are people who try to sell stuff...but most of us are just like you...trying to lose the weight that it took so long to put on...and we want it all gone immediately! The good news is that you are starting young...and trust me that will help you. Losing weight is hard, sucks, takes time...all of the above... I can also so say, it is so worth it! I'm 51, 5'7", started at 269 lbs back on 1 June 2011 and now I'm around 207, on my way to 150lbs...so I just crossed the 1/2 point (big deal for me!). My method is simple (not easy, but simple!). Exercise 1 hour every day (I didn't start out at 1 hour...I've worked my way up to it...but the key was every day...do something!), then I eat a big breakfast, "normal lunch" and no eating after 6:00pm. no processed sugar, low carbs and no softdrinks (that includes diet drinks). I drink alot of water and hot green tea, (no sugar) in the evening when I think I'm hungry. I don't count calories...not necessarily good...but I just can't handle it right now. So far, it's working for me. Losing weight for me is a process, not an event (I hate that...I just want it to happen..then magically stay that way...doesnt work like that!).

I look forward to your future posts and helping you any way I can!
