Hi All,

Well I finally started my own diary..it's only taken me 11 months...doh!
(I know Cate will be proud)

I first started Cohen's in February 2007 and was totally in the zone with it (I loved that feeling) I lost 28 kilos in the first 4 months but work commitments made it very hard to stick to the program so I kinda half heartedly did it. By August and my 40th birthday I had kept most of it off but it all went downhill after that... I have put on 7 kilos since and I sooooooooo need to finish what I started.
So here I am....tahhhh dahhhh!! joining all of you on this Cohen's journey.

I have kept in touch with Cate, even had the pleasure of meeting her when she was down in melbourne, such a lovely and inspiring lady. I have followed everybody's progress on here.I sometimes read the other forum but it is so busy in there that I can't keep up, I like it in here.

So good to see some oldies come back and so good to see some great progress made with some of you that have posted in here over the last few months.. ... I will post in your diaries after I stop going on and on in here.

Kannadew: If you read this I know you moved your diary to the other forum but I just want to say what an amazing job you have done..I remember when you first started your journey and look at you now...wow!!

Ok I will stop now...so very excited !!

Welcome back!

Hi Annie! Thanks SO Much for the Encouragement! I REALLY need it! It means a lot to me that you have continued to follow my journey even after I moved my diary! I also get a bit overwhelmed in the other forum...but I didn't want to move again after I did it once... (it wasn't THAT busy when I moved over!)... Its so easy to get lost amongst the superstars over there!

I am so glad that you are back here. I have wondered where you are and whats been happening for you. I think keeping a diary is a great idea. Set a day of the week to regularly update it... that way you know you always have to check in on yourself... (does that make sense?). I always do an update on my weekly weigh in day.

Good Luck! You sound like you really are in the Zone!! I love that place! I can do anything there! I look forward to following your run for goal. I reckon you may even get there before me! Cos I'm so sloooow! =)

Blessya mate

Hi all

Well day two completed, slight headache but feel great, it's amazing how great you feel when doing Cohens.

I was so busy at work today the day just flew, didn't have time to think about food so it worked out well updated ticker 1 kg down already, I am a serial weigher so I will update everytime I get on here.

Kannadew, thanks for your welcome, the reason i started this diary is for that exact same reason you mention.

Sharon, thank you too for the welcome. I remember your before and after pics and you looked so great ..good luck with shifting the last few.

Well I better run, (oh i forgot I don't have to do that on cohen's)
That's something I love about this program you don't have to exercise and the fat just comes off ...yeee haaaa!!

Have a great night Cohenites, stay cool (41 degrees in melb today...yikes)

Hi Annie

Welcome back.......it's never to late to start a diary -I started mine a few months after completing refeed.....this is when I felt I really needed the support. I am on that constant roller coaster ride of weight gain weight loss, but if I can just keep my focus, which I find I can do here then that is all the encouragment I need at (times.)

I also answered your question in my diary.

We were in Melbourne last week and we expereinced the 40+ temp's. Staying indoors with the air conditioner is definitely the way to go (if you have that luxury).

Take care Annie

Sam:)

Hi All,

Day 3 completed and happy to report another .4 down, had another great day yesterday. I am so glad that I was able to get back in to the zone so quickly this time around. I had tried since August to get back on track numerous times with no success.
After losing all the weight I did, I went out and bought lovely clothes that were fitting me nicely, I can't say the same now after putting on 7kg's, they are feeling tighter and I don't look as good or as comfortable wearing them, there is no way I am putting on my pre Cohens clothes again so that was my wake up call.

Cate and Sam - thanks for the welcome, looking forward to encouraging each other to a fabulous looking us!

This year I have decided is going to be all about me, last year was all about work....grrrrr , so last night a friend and I treated ourselves to a lovely Toni & Guy hair experience, it cost a fortune but hey, I deserve it !! My hair looks great and it was worth every cent.

Today I am having a nothing day ...can't wait, the last few weeks have been soooooo hectic that I am so looking forward to just pottering around the house, doing a few chores (including getting the Chrissy tree down) and relaxing.

Better go have my breakfast, during the working week I always have boiled egg with tomato and mushrooms for breakfast but on weekends I treat myself to either an omellete or poached egg..yummmm!!

Have a great weekend all!

Hi Annie

Good to hear that you are taking care of yourself! Its funny how there is a switch that just turns on isnt it? You can try and try so many times, but its not until we are really READY that it will all fall into place. If only we could help turn other switches on too!

Hope you have been enjoying your relaxing day!

Hi Annie,
Great to see you doing so well! I sooo know what you mean about the clothes. I have a whole wardrobe of really nice summer clothes and all of them are iether too small now or look so wrong! I only have a few that are a little bigger and I'm so sick of wearing the same bloody outfits all the time. Can't wait to get into the skinny stuff again!
I hope you've had a fantastically relaxing day and have taken some much needed time to chill out and look after you.

Take care
Mel

Before and during pics.....

Hi All,

Kannadew - OMG nearly 40 down ..wow!! and Mel, 3 down already, you are doing great girl! Thank you both for popping in :)

Well I decided to post some before and during pics. The first pic is from Nov 06 when I was weighing in at 108 kilos (yikes) and the second pic is back in Aug weighing in at 82 kilos. I can't wait to post the after pic. Notice the huge double chin in pic 1...arggggg! , I am so never going back to that.

Anyway, I hope some of you that may be thinking of joining or just want some inspiration get it from these pics. If I can do this program, anyone can!

Ok here goes, I have shaded out of my face. Not ready to reveal that yet, a bit like that show Extreme makeover , they always reveal the face at the end..doh!!

Have a great Cohen's day ! Will pop in later and read everyone's diaries.

Hi Annie

I hope you have had a great Monday!

Thanks for posting the pics - You're a bit of a shady character aren't you!!! ha ha Just kidding... it's great to get the photos out there to keep you honest with yourself! It takes a lot of courage to post your before and durings up and I commend you for that.

I think the clothes and how they feel are so much more important than even the scales. When I finished my refeed I got straight into running and haven't stopped. I love it. And as much as the scales went up a few kilos with my muscle mass building I actually trimmed down a bit more but then this morning, after my week of convenience rather than health, putting my favourite work skirt on I didn't feel good in it. It was firm around the belly but just didn't feel nice to wear. This had much more of an effect on me then seeing the increase on the scales. I dont want to feel like that in any clothes again!

Good luck, keep going and stay focussed. I look forward to your diary entries!

You can do it!!!

Lauren

Thanks for posting your piccies Annie.

You are very motivating and inspiring to this forum, this is the reason I continue to hang around, the people here are so wonderful and encouraging.

You can do it.....and you will....so will I.

Hi all,

well it's been a week and happy to report a loss of 2.1kg, could have been better but I was naughty , very very naughty.. don't wanna dwell on my naughtiness as I have moved on from it.

This is definetely much tougher second time around and that's why it is so important to stick with it from start to finish - no deviatiosn in between!

Lauren and Sam thanks for popping in and showing your support and encouragement, greatly appreciated!

Kannadew: If you read this , just read your 15th Jan post in your diary - chin up girl! You have done an amazing job (39 kgs lost) you should be very proud of yourself, i reckon the longer it takes to lose the longer you will keep it off!
Big hugs to you K, hang in there!

Ok, off to do some chores, starting work later today ...woo hoo!!

have a great day all and chat soon

Hi Annie, Well done-2.1 is a very good start, even if you were a bit "naughty"! You'll get there as you have a fair bit of determination. It was lovely meeting you last October & I hope I will catch up with you again sometime in Melb or here in Tas if you come over. You never know I might even get you up a mountain with the Wacky's! xo cate

Thanks SO MUCH Annie! It makes such a big difference knowing that people are "with" me in my journey... I am so happy for your loss!!! 2.1kgs that just totally blows my mind (even with you being naughty you say!!!!!) I haven't seen losses like that since the very beginning! I know you are beginning again too ... so I guess thats why!

I am happy that you have found the diary so useful Annie.. I know I have found mine useful... even just to go back and read it during tough times! You will get through this!

Anyway better go

Hi Annie

I know exactly where your coming from. Are you finding it hard to stay on plan or worse have not even started. Well that is all of me. But I am hoping to redeem myself and make Saturday "D" day for me. Wish me luck and I will check back in here on the weekend to get an update on why you have been naughty!!!!!!!

Till then....Bye

Sam:)

Hi

My name is Annie Lusion and I am a food addict...doh

Well time has come for me to confess my naughtiness, I am so #@#$%^& annoyed with myself. I really thought this time around i was in the zone and I was really going to finish what I started. How wrong was I. I have tried to re-start so many times and it is so hard I just can't stick to it , I really want to lose another 20 sooooooo much , I just don't get it. I do this with every diet I go on. I start off in the zone, lose weight, deviate, put on weight, try to get back on, good for a day or two then bang, back to deviations, more weight on blah blah blah ......grrrrrrr so so frutrating.

It's weird because I AM a strong person, I have the will power to achieve almost anything I put my mind to, I have really done some amazing stuff in my life, but my one weakness is food...go figure...food ...IT'S JUST FOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!! why am i so obsessed by it????????????? :banghead:

I have decided today that enough is enough. my aim is to get back on track and on the program by the 2nd February, this is the exact date I started last year. I remember starting last year and within a week or so I was up in Queensland on holiday, I stuck to it 100%, took the food scales up and did great, I found it easy whilst on holiday. So hoping the same will happen this year ( I am up in Queensland on hols on the 13th Feb)
My mother in law comes out from England every year and the two of us head up to the Gold Coast /Noosa for a nice holiday - she is great and i get along with her so well (maybe it's because I only see her once a year?- hehe) no seriously she is fantastic and very like me so we have a lot of fun! She will keep me on track, I know myself I just need a couple of weeks to get back on track and I will find that zone, my problem is at the moment, I fail after only a few days. I am so rambling aren't I? I must stop, just needed to come in here and vent!!

Hope everybody is doing well, have a great day!
Until next time
