is this bad?

just a quick question for you well educated group...

I have not been able to get into the gym again yet(havent been in years,, and believe me,, it shows,,, 5-10 225 lbs but qat one o=point i used to be 245 yikes) soas in my othe rpost,, i have a home gym,, but i have been too unmotivated to go running before usding the home gym,, just kinda hop on when i got time,, and use the thing....

I can press 210 (its max weight) 2x12 then 1x10
leg extention 175 3x8
and so on...
but my main question is,, is it bad to not warm up entirly before weights? i do have a very active phisical job so its not like i sit behind a desk all day...
(i am going to the gym again soon) also,, do you have to know your bf% to know your calorie intake requirements? or just height weight?? i am oblivious to that kinda stuff...

i assume the rumors are true,, if i go jogging/running for 20-30 minutes before work, with eating some fruit and protien i will have more energy throughout the day?

Sorry for the long post,, but you all had to learn what you know too,,, and i didnt find anything specific to what i wouold like tio know in the search...
thanks

u can just do some stretchings before u workout, ull be fine
u dont need to know ur BF% to know ur caloric intake, just determine ur goal, do u wanna loose weight, or gain weight...which ever it is, count the calories u eat in a normal day, and decrease / increase ur caloric intake by 500 cals per day.

For me it seems i have more energy during the day, if i do some cardio or a quick workout in the morn.... could be all in my head thooo

good luck doOd

i certainly have more energy in the day after a morning run.
As for warming up i think its a must what i do is simply do 1 set of 10 reps of my next exercise with very light weight it works.

i find i have much more strength and mental wear with all when my heart rate has already been up and sustained thru soe aerobic...

A few minutes jumping rop will do it too. with the weight be careful not to be jumping straight legged. a jump rope can kick your butt in the beginning.

good luck to you, keep coming here and the motivation will come.

Welcome!
