Is my body fat % too low?

Hello, my name is Sean, and I am 20 yo (male). I am about 5' 7 1/2" tall, and I weigh about 130-135. I'm pretty athletic, I jog five days a week and lift weights at least 3 days a week (so I could not have lost muscle mass, I've gotten stronger), and I also practice karate several day per week. I have been trying to get a well defined six pack for a while, and i've lost about 20-30 pounds in the last 5 months. I stopped using a scale because I did not have one in my new house, so when I weighed myself yesterday it said "129 lbs" and "3.4% body fat" (it measures electrically). I can still see stored fat on my lower abs (the upper abs have decent definition), and on my chest. Is it possible that my scale is wrong? If it is really 3.4%, I should not see any visible stored fat, right? Should I stop my calorie reduction diet (for the diet I eat 1600 per day, and once in a while I will do a week or two of 1200 per day as a boost) ?

Thanks for reading such a long post ;)

Dont worry, at 3,4% you are borderlining the level where the body will shut down and die and there's really no way you're there..
Can make an estimate if you post a pic.

A bf% that low is only maintainable for a few hours, so as suggested your scales are probably at fault.

Also please read this.

Also, you say you have haven't loss muscle mass because you are stronger, but that doesn't mean anything. You could have easily lost mass but strenghtened your tendons.

Thanks for the advice, I think I will look for a local place that offers bf% testing. Do you think Genesis or Gold's gym would be good choice? Oh, and I read that article, and it was interesting, but I can't say that I agree with most of it.

You can probably get your bf checked at either of those places. Why don't you agree with the article? I hope it's not because it doesn't validate what you are trying to do.
