Increasing resistence (weight) at the gym

Just wanted to know what everyone else here does in terms of frenquency of weight increases at the gym.

eg. Upright rows. I started with the following (barbell):
1 set x 12.5kg x 15 reps (warm up)
1 set x 25.0kg x 12 reps
1 set x 22.5kg x 12 reps
1 set x 20.0kg x 12 reps
1 set x 20.0kg x 12 reps

Now, about 4 weeks later, I do:
1 set x 30.0kg x 12 reps
1 set x 30.0kg x 10 reps
1 set x 30.0kg x 8 reps
1 set x 25.0kg x 10 reps

Any comments? What do you do with weight increases?

One other thing. After you reach your goal (body shape) and don't want to get any bigger. Would it be possible to maintain that body shape by lifting the same amount of weights month after month?

Weight increases can vary. You can hit plateaus and you can make big strides

If you want to stay the same size, just find your maintenance caloric intake. You can't get bigger without a caloric surplus (you can't make mass out of nothing)

Makes sense!! I'll have to look into increasing my diet.. with the right foods. I must admit, I don't eat all that well, eat lots but not well.
