Hi all, I am new here and I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself and what I hope to gain from this community.
I'm from England, 22, 195lbs, 5'6". I have been struggling with my weight for two and a half years now, but very recently I have put on another stone. In December I lost nearly a stone due to a temporary break up with my partner, but since getting back together and facing the final months of my degree I not only put the weight back on, but have put on another stone.
I think my problems are firstly, that I love eating sweet foods, cakes and sweets in particular, I know that once I can control my habit of eating these foods then that will make a difference. Secondly, my partner is a bad influence on me, he does not like to eat the same healthy foods as me such as fish, or cous cous, so rather than me cooking two separate meals for us, I end up making the carb heavy food that he likes to eat for both of us.
On the bright side, I do love to exercise, but I become demotivated when I work out and then eat a bad meal, so I end up giving up as I never lose weight.
What I would like is to find a buddy who I can share my weight loss challenge with, as in my life I have nobody who I feel I can turn to and be honest with about how unhappy I am with myself, not even my partner knows how I feel!
Glad to meet you all
J
