In need of a cut?

Hello,

I have been lurking these forums over the past week and would just like some friendly advice.

I Used to be around 220lbs and am now currently 170. After some reading I realized I was over training really bad, and repeating the same isolation exercises too often, I'm now working out 3 days a week and trying to do more compound exercises and mixing up the reps/intensity, just wanting an opinion on whether to cut or bulk?

Thanks in advance.

Whether you cut or not is a person decision based on your goals (sorry if that sounds a little Chillen-esque).
If you’re training for general health and appearance then you’d probably benefit from dropping a little body fat IMO

EDIT:Sorry, forgot to mention, your posture looks awful, try standing up straighter. Do you work in an office? It looks a bit like you sit slouched in a chair all day which is giving your back a large inward curve. A trick I use is to imagine there’s a piece of string attached to my head and it’s pulling me up.

You look pretty good. I think your body is ready for either cutting or bulking. Whichever you choose, try to stick to it for 2-3 weeks at least. Personally, I think your arms are pretty good but work on the Pec (chest) + Trap + minor work on lat (back) if you are bulking. I'd go cut for 2-3 more weeks and then bulk those 3 areas.

Thanks for the replies, I would like to see more definition so I think I will cut. I'm planning on seeing a personal trainer this friday, just to make sure I am lifting properly..etc And I do work in an office, I guess I will have to work on my posture as well.
My goals are to even out my chest, lose the excess weight and get a 6-pack (I bet this has been said countless times on these forums.)

Anyways, I will post progress once my efforts start to show.

Thanks again.
