I saw on the newcomers thread that this was the place to get started.

I just signed up today. I haven't cruised around much, but goal here is to find a way to finally complete my weight loss goals. I've lost almost all of the weight that I needed to lose and sometimes drift below my goal, but my stomach has never been flat like I want it to be. There is just something that is making my body hold on to that last bit of belly fat, and I have tried to for months to really target it but have had no luck.

I started my weight loss journey about two years ago by doing crossfit and dieting. I saw a great deal of success immediately but plateaued for about a year and decided to bite the bullet and try garcinia cambogia. It, definitely, jump started my weight loss again and helped me off of my plateau. Adding garcinia to the mix of diet and exercise brought me down to my goal weight. I recently kicked the garcinia. I felt I no longer needed it.

My daily meals are as follows: coffee with coconut oil and three eggs, just chicken (roughly 30 grams of protein), and end with a fatty meat (roughly 30 grams of protein). Before workouts I will load carbs by eating a sweat potato and follow up with honey and almonds.

If anyone would like to discuss their recipe for success or just chat feel free :)

Welcome to the forum, Chump. Wow, that sounds wrong. But, that's your name so I gotta go with it, right?

Anyway, everybody requires a different recipe for success as you call it so my suggestion is that you take in what everybody says and make your own recipe. Personally, I find success when I set reasonable goals and don't push myself too hard. I've just been watching what I eat, maintaining a healthy intake of carbohydrates, drinking mostly water and exercising consistently. I haven't set strict rules for myself this time around - I've attempted to lose weight a few times and have always failed when I'm too hard on myself - and I have found success by learning from my mistakes.

In order to get a flat belly I would suggest exercises that target your core (abs, back, chest, etc). Building muscle will help tighten and flatten your stomach. However, remember that you can't pick and choose from where you lose fat as you lose weight. And, unfortunately the stomach is one of the last areas to lose that pesky fat. So, just keep at it. It's frustrating I'm sure, but just keep working at it and it will eventually go away.

Welcome to the forum! Targeted weight loss is... hard to impossible. On the other hand: factors which lead the body to store fat primarily in the belly area include stress and longer term undereating, and avoiding those can only be a good thing anyway :) Good luck sculpting your body and congratulations on reaching your goal weight.
