Hello all. I'm new here! My name is Nikki and I'm 21 (22 next month). I've been married for 3 years and I live in Okinawa, Japan with my husband who is in the Air Force. 
I've been overweight for probably all of my life. I was around 200lbs when I got married and have gained 60lbs in the 3 years that we've been married (and I'm 5'5"). A good amount of it probably came from stress/emotional eating - I moved away from my family to get married...husband deployed...moved overseas...had marriage issues...etc. I am finally fed up and want to lose this weight. We are finally at a good point in our marriage and want kids...but I need to be healthier first!
My plan isn't so set in stone. I am joining Weight Watchers tomorrow and will be looking for healthy recipes to try so I can make a list before going food shopping. I'm a picky eater so it's always hard when trying new things. I want to try a cycling class - we have a gym on all the bases here are they are free...I know I need to get cardio in a few times a week as well as strength training. I participated in a weight loss challenge for almost 5 months with a team/trainer and I know what to do - I just need to put it to good use!
Anyways - I will be browsing around the site and hopefully can update you all with some weight loss soon! We leave Okinawa in a year and I want at least 60lbs gone before then. I have to start with small goals first though...so I have to think of one!
