...er yes, hello
I'm a middle aged guy from the UK (South Wales) who has let life and the all you can eat Chinese buffet get to him and is now suffering as a result.
When I look back about 10 years I was a very fit mountain biker and trail runner who was in excellent health...my diet was never good but being active and sporty meant I could get away with a multitude of diet sins.
Time has been a cruel mistress and fast forward to today I'm hitting the scales at approx 16st 3lbs and generally feeling rubbish as I'm plagued by digestive and gastric issues and seemingly constant headaches. My diet is quite franky shocking and the only veggie I see is the peas in the special fried rice, to make matters worse I've even discovered that a pea isn't even a vegetable...oh dear
So, the plan is to give it 10 weeks....a 10 week plan to get active again and to knock all the takeaways and processed food/ready meals on the head. I have a 18 month old little lad and I owe it to him if nobody else to get this fat forty something starting to feel a bit better about himself and gaining back some self respect and energy.
Like all good diets, this one is starting tomorrow! 10 weeks from 24/06/11 to 02/09/11...with that in mind I'm off for my lunch, my final bacon and chicken ranch from the Subway Gods! I know I'm not even going to enjoy it buy hey, it fills that hole in my soul...hmm, this is going to throw up a few questions for me I think!
....anyway, whatch this space as I'm starting the diary tomorrow to record how it goes. I hope you all read it and post me some tips and motivation as crikey I'm gonna need it.
