I abandoned ship in May, after I was hit off my bike. I just ate rubbish for a few weeks, and then I was off backpacking around Asia!
I don't know if I explained before, but I was tired of being stuck in a rut, so I quit my job in the UK, and set off on an adventure. I vowed to stop stressing over insignificant things, and to go with the flow more.
Well I did go with the flow, and I did let go of a lot of unnecessary stress. I had the best two months of my life, and would still be on the road, but an opportunity to work in Hong Kong came my way, so I decided to go for it.
Here I am in Hong Kong now! Crazy place! Amazing food (uh oh). I arrived in HK a month ago, weighing 150 pounds. Not great, but not awful considering for two months, I stayed in hostels and ate out for every meal! I don't think I gained or lost anything travelling, because although I was eating a lot, I was also constantly walking around and doing things.
So one month into Hong Kong, I've managed to lose 5.8 pounds, which is great! I did this through clean eating and low carb for three weeks, but I then got bored and went on a crazy binge. It was a low point when I consumed an entire bag of choc chip cookies, and went into a food coma and woke up with my laptop on me and cookie crumbs all over myself!
Now I am trying to just be sensible, but not go so sugar and carb free that I end up with cravings and binging. I'm also walking only, no underground for me. It helps that I live up 100+ stairs with no elevator!
I will track progress on here.
So today, I am 144.2 pounds, or 10 stone 4.2 pounds. I would like to get below 140 pounds (or 10 stone) by this time next month. Baby steps!
Stats:
Height: 5' 6"/ 167cm
Weight: 10 stone 4.2/ 144.2 pounds
UK dress size: 10 on the top and 12 on the bottom
US dress size: 8 on the top and 10 on the bottom
