I'm a little embarrassed to post this, but I have a question.

Okay, so for a really long time I've noticed this little "pooch" on my stomach, and for the longest time I thought it was fat.

Now, I'm convinced it's excess skin from the weight loss.

I want to know what everyone else thinks.

I'm going to post two pictures in this thread, and I want someone else's opinion.

Do you guys think it's fat, or does it look like skin?

I apologize for the grossness that is my stomach. He he.

Thanks, guys.

It doesn't look like loose skin. Google loose skin and you can see that it lays kind of...I don't know, wrinkled maybe? Yours looks fuller. Your stomach actually looks awesome for losing so much weight too.

Thank you for the response. :)

I'm actually thinking about losing 10-15 more pounds, but I want to see a difference in my stomach.

Thanks!

I agree with the other poster. It looks like there's too much behind it to be just loose skin. Wait and see what it looks like after you lose a bit more weight. Even if the skin is loose at the end of your weight loss, it might tighten up a bit given some time.

No need to be embarrassed, either. You look great.

I think that looks more like fat than loose skin. I have a bit of loose skin on my stomach and it is much more wrinkly looking than that. Also, when I tighten my abs, you can see my rib cage and the excess skin is in the middle. Do you do any ab exercises? I have a "6 pack attack" 15 minute class at the end of each workout session. It is a hard intense ab workout. It has really made a difference. Good luck girly!

It looks more like some fat. I think you can make it less by doing sit ups? Well.. just what I think. Congrats on your big big weight loss again!

:seeya:Hi! You've done such a great job! Congratulations. As for the excess tum, my best recommendation is to get a stability/yoga ball and use it regularly. At first I couldn't even stay on it, my core was so weak! Now I am workin' on a 6 pack...

Cheers and keep up the great work!

i have the same on my love handles it is called strea (strecht marks) its because you gained unnecessary weight to quickly and your skin will stretch to fast and cause those things if you lose the weight around your stomach it would go away if not check your doctor if its got something to do with your hormons but i doubt it its just some stretch marks

I would say a combination of both. Because the pooch is still going to be there a BIT if youlose the weight entirely out of your midsection. Sorry to sound like a bummer hahaha. :smilielol5:

Be happy, be healthy, and good luck!
=)

I'm no expert so I don't know what it is, but it sure looks like my tummy :p When I was a kid I was always heavy, but it went to 200lbs almost overnight (slight exaggeration ;-) ) when I was about 13 and I'm 5"2 so it was a big deal. I have a ton of stretch marks in almost every place you can get them. Now that I'm losing weight I can see my tummy getting flabby at the bottom, I am certain that when I'm done loosing weight I will have a little "pooch" but it's way better than being overweight. I've been using "firming" lotions, I know they don't do anything but I figure it can't hurt. I want to try the murad firm and toned supplements and lotion but it's $200+ for a months supply... If you buy it through murad they let you return it after 60 days even if there's nothing left... but I just can't see it actually doing anything. The logical part of me knows it won't work, but the vain woman in me wants it to work so bad that I will probably end up buying it eventually. If you're made of money go give it a try and leme know ;-)
