Hello all!
I just joined the site yesterday, and typed an intro post in the Newcomers section.
Anyways, I think the diary section is great and will help keep me motivated. I've dieted and exercised in the past, but then I would get lazy and go back to old ways.
I'm planning to lose 60 - 65 lbs. I would like to lose it by January, but I do know that this may be unrealistic. I would truly love to lose it by the time I'm 23, and that would be in March. It gets tough. I would lose weight in the past, but then I would either slow down or crave junk food too much and have a falling out. I would lose my focus and start eating unhealthy and exercise less.
I plan on eating right and exercising. I'm not here for a magic pill or anything like that, I am here to change my lifestyle in the way I eat. I'm used to exercising as I used to play basketball almost daily, but that has ceased since I've been home.
It really hit me the other day when I weighed myself and have hit my all time high of 240. Since graduating college, I don't drink alcohol as often, I don't eat late night pizza, etc. I plan on limiting alcohol consumption, which I already have. Ideally, I think I'm going to cut it out completely until I reach my goal. I used to eat a lot of fast food too. It was the easy way to get food and get back to work while in school.
Anyways, I hope this diary will help me stay focused and stick to it this time. Thanks for reading!
