I just wanted to ask you guys to keep my brother in your thoughts, although its not life threatening - it is something serious. He woke up this morning and he has lost all hearing in one of his ears ( he is 29) . Males on my moms side of the family have always had trouble hearing but never had complete loss of it. He is going to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully its an infection and can be cleared with medicine but with the family history of hearing problems I doubt it.

We are really close, and I feel so bad! I wish there was something I could do. Anyways, please keep him in your thoughts - I would greatly appreciate it.
 
Hi, I will wish for the best for your brother. The same thing happened to a neighbor of mine. She was fine one day and the next day she couldn't hear out of one ear. I hope he gets good news!
 
Sorry just getting back to the update.

He went to the doctor yesterday morning. He had some really nasty ear infection. They cleaned his ears and gave him lots of meds- he says it is a little better, and he can hear now at least. I am glad! I was worried.
