Hello, my name is Bridget, Im from Canada, and a little over weight. I am 5"0 and 137lbs. According to my Dr I should be at 115-125. And I have been doing a lot of research on losing weight. So I started my "diet" on Monday-20-2007, and my pants are already loose, I believe this is water weight, and if I go back to the same eating habits that will come back so Im not tooo excited that i lost 4 lbs yet, but it does keep me motivated.
So this is what im doing....Morning sugar-free jello (to jump kick metabelism)
when I get to work I have a coffee with cream and sweetener.
For morning snack I have a medium apple
for Lunch I have some low fat cheese 1-2 slices with sliced ham and 1 piece of low carb bread (7carbs/slice) with mustard.
For afternoon snack i have a salad with low cal dressing (Kraft italian is good, 5 calories/tbsp)
and for dinner, chicken or salmon, or extra extra lean beef, with veggies like asparagus, with more salad.
Also I am taking vitamins - calcium, chromium,omega 3,potassium,and vitamin b6b12combo. I did buy some hoodia thinking i was going to be hungry and it would help curb the hunger, but i havnt needed it yet. that could be because im drinking a lot of water like 8 bottles throughout the day.

So some of you maybe wondering why there is no exercise in this weightloss plan...and that is because i was in a car accident recently and i am unable to go to the gym, due to neck injuries.=( so i am going to try to lose the weight by 100% diet for now...maybe i can tone up later..maybe!!!

So I will let you guys know whats going on everyday, or AT LEAST once a week. everyday might get a bit boring.

Welcome to the forums. Your diet seems great so far! Don't worry about not being able to exercise now, once your neck is healed you'll be able to slowly tone up. No worries!

Coming on here everyday isn't boring. It actually is inspirational and it helps hold you accountable for your eating actions and exercise. I've already found it to be quite helpful.

I would include some protein in the mornings as it looks like you aren't getting any protein until lunch right now.

Sorry to hear about the accident, and I hope you get better soon. I have a lot of neck issues as well (not accident caused) that have been a real problem for me too.

Are you able to go for walks? That would be a good addition for now while
you're getting better.

Hey...12packAbs, thanks for the reply, your right, and I do normally eat protein in the mornings I usually eat some eggwhites with a slice of low carb bread toasted. But sometimes I just dont have the time to sit and eat hehe
 
Hello all,
So I have been writing in here everyday (2 days) hehehe, I really want to write here everyday and track down everything I'm doing so other people can take what I have done as motivation. I love reading success stories, but I cant seem to find them here, either I'm looking in the wrong places or there are none. I see a lot of people who start to write but then stop, maybe because they have lost the weight and dont think about the site anymore, I'm not sure, but I want to have before pics, during pics, and after pics. Also I want to log down everything I do and eat, even if i cheat..so far so good!!

so Im down to 136lbs 21lbs to go...Im in ketosis right now, and feeling sooo energetic and bubbly. My pants are feeling loose too!!!!! soon I will have an excuse to go shopping eheh

so I have been eating a lot of salad, tuna and chicken.
lots of veggies, and cheeze, cold cuts, like ham, and low carb bread (only 2 slices a day)

no excercise yet

So, I'm down another pound to 135lbs.

Today I had some egg whites for breakfast
for lunch I had a chicken cesar salad, with low fat cheese grated on top. and
for dinner i had a small piece of lean steak, shrimp with some lemon and garlic, some more cesar salad (i found a cesar dressing with 1 carb/tbsp) and a small chicken breast with my choices of spices.
I had to force myself to eat all that, i wasnt hungry and didnt eat snacks inbetween today, also i drank a lot of water.

in the evening i had 1 rum and diet coke (i can not stop alcohol on the weekends) I made sure i didnt drink with regular coke, and i looked up the calorie info on alcohol on the net, and rum isnt that bad.

Im going to keep track of this everyday, so other people can maybe see how i did it, if they need someones brain to pick apart for something that works for weight loss.

See you all tomorrow.

Are you sure you are eating enough for breakfast?

Im assuming your doing a low carb diet like atkins? In that case you dont need to worry about the yolk or anything low fat. Maybe try having a tomato and cheese omelete or scrambled eggs? Even lean bacon and eggs? I usually make breakfast my biggest meal of the day, keeps me full all the way till lunchtime and boosts my metabolism.
 
well exaclty how i make my egg whites is to fry a bit of onion in a non stick frying pan with a TINY bit of oil. then i add finley chopped tomato, and green pepper, and saute that for a couple minutes. then i add the egg whites, and some pieces of ham. When its almost done i grate some low fat mozerella cheese over it, and spinkle some coriander.

When i said egg whites, i didnt exaclty get elaborate on the details on how i cooked them.
