I need your HELP!

Hello all,

I need to start working out, I just turned 30 and I've never really exercised in my life. I have a daughter and the weight kind of disappeared after pregnancy. But now, I just want to be healthy and toned. I am 5'2" and weigh about 125. I don't really care to loose the weight, I just want to be tone, get flat abs and firm up my butt.

I have a simple treadmill, no settings or anything. I have several tae bo videos and several beachbody videos. I have a jump rope, and a pair of 5 lb weights. I need someone to help me figure out what I should be doing, how many times a week, etc.

If anyone can give me any advice I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

i just started Power 90 its a training program for 90 days im already getting results at day 4 lol its crazy good but im pushing my body to keep up with instructor and other people in videos so thats why i might be getting results super fast

heres link to p90x intro but im doing power 90 so dont worry about the crazy video lol but it shows basics

If you are totally out of shape I dont recommend starting with p90x, you may go into cardiac arrest! power 90 or the slim series would be better for you, believe me they will still kick your butt into shape and then once you get good at that, p90x will be PERFECT. I graduated p90x and kept a running blog on my experience through the program. Read through it if you would like. I got some huge gains in all areas of my fitness.

I'm 42, had a double C-Section, (vertical & horizantal), is it too late to work the muscles in my lower abd into shape? I was told that is dead muscle? Does anyone know if there's such a thing?

Never heard of "dead" muscle. Sounds pretty silly to me. Did someone wearing spandex and curling shiny chrome dumbells tell you this?;)

wow this got really dug up lol i will have to make a thread showing my progress. i have completed one round of P90 and just finished P90X now im looking into round 2 or just buying P90X+. i have had excellent results and recommend to anyone

im sure she has heard enough about p90x, but there are many other ways you can get into shape without a 140$ purchase. Although you can download it in certain sites, my suggestion is that you stick with the die hard exercises like running, biking, swimming, and of course weightlifting. To tone your body, you will need to lose the fat around your muscles. and if you currently lack muscles, then you will need to hit the gym, and eat. Either way you need to hit the gym.
