I need the truth, desparately.

oh ok i getcha. thanks mreik. do u think i should switch back with chest? and how many days do u ur muscles need to completely heal? an entire week without using the muscle seems a little bit of a stretch. what do you think? according to ur pfile it sounds like u know what ur doin lol.

Shinra, is there still a reason why you're not working legs?

I still think you should take Saturday off. After all, you're running all over the court on Sunday and you do need a day off.

true...ok saturday will be a rest day.

and im not working legs because of genetics lol. i have incredibly built (muscular) legs. i never lifted a weight in my life with my legs, but my whole family has nice built shaped legs. an italian thing? i used to play a lot of soccer...idk if that had anything to do with it. and on top of that im just really not concerned with how my legs look...i know i should be, but i have nothin to worry about. thanks for looking out for me though man! these are by far the nicest forums ive been to. other places noone gives a damn about you, and doesnt bother to give u anything other than "eat right and work out"

well the amount of time needed to heal depends on the intensity of the workout, your diet, & genetics(some people just heal faster).. and your diet looks good, so the only way to find out is just to see on monday morning before you work out biceps, just flex them once or twice and see if they're sore from friday..

well besides my cheat weekend (ice pops, french vanilla coolatas, apple crumb donut, piece of birthday cake, eclair, canoli, lol u get the picture)...ive been stickin to my schedule. i noticed an increase in bicep size (very tiny), chest area looks a little more toned, umm..abs still nothing really, other than its getting flatter and more firm, still no cuttage. i dropped to a 32 in waist (was a 35 ish). this has all taken place since 6 weeks ago when i started this crazy idea to get fit. im just curious, i have to be jesus in jesus christ superstar in a few weeks (palm sunday), and that requires a point where i have no shirt on. any ideas on where ill be abs wise by then? lol. if i stick strictly to my diet that is.

k idk if anyone checks this thread anymore lol, but i dont wanna be annoying and start a new thread over somethin small lke this. i keep hearing you guys in various other ab threads talking about weighted crunches and stuff. now i only have dumbells, no plates. how can i go about doing a weighted crunch exercise? also, i changed from white bread to rye bread. i honestly cant stand the taste of whole wheat, so is rye better? i put my daily turkey sandwhich with mayo on the bread.

Usually the darker the better as far as bread goes. If you want abs within 3 weeks, you're gonna have to do something severe, like the Velocity diet.

Google this-->weighted russian twists, Turkish getups.

sounds fun. btw wat is dietary fiber? my mom just bought this new cereal called Fiber One and it has 25g of Dietary fiber per serving. Im wondering if a bowl of this a day would help?

you are on the right tracks - all it takes is dedication so keep at it!

IMO you dont need weighted crunches unless you can do perfect form crunches with no fatigue. dont yank your head up with your hands, have them resting lightly at your ears with our elbows pulled back, feet flat on floor, look staight ahead, pull belly button into spine and curl up, squeezing abs hard,

if you cant do 3 sets of 10ish perfectly like this then your not ready for a weighted crunch

IHMO- abs in 3 weeks? rubbish.

and muscle healing may differ from day to day - for me personally, i was due in the gym today as i went the day be4 yesterday, but I am still sore, soeven though I really wanted ot go and work out I didnt, I gonna see if I am sore tomorrow to decide if i should work out tomorrow.

if our muscle is sore it is damaged and healing itself to grow stronger. research has shown gentle exercise suhc as walking, or very light weight bicep curls etc can help faster healing, but another heavy workout wont do any good.
