How to make a freaking awesome onion!

Okay, if you like onions, you need to try this!

Take a whole sweet onion (I like WallaWallas), cut off the ends and peel off the gross outside layer. Core a 1 inch deep hole in the middle of the onion.
Put a teaspoon of butter and a couple pinches of a crushed bouillion cube into the hole (about 1/3-1/2 of the cube). Wrap in foil and either bake or put on the grill until soft all the way through.

Easy, no mess, and amazing tasting!

I use yellow, like WallaWalla or vidalia. If not yellow, then white. I am not sure how it would taste with red onion.

a walla walla is a sweet onion from Walla Walla, Washington (I believe the originated in Italy) and are available during the summer months... they're generally pretty large and have a round shape... as opposed to oblong.

Vidalia onions are sweet onions from Vidalia Georgia...

I believe, in order for it to be a vidalia onion, it has to be from vidalia, same for walla wallas - otherwise it's just a sweet onion.. which are just as tasty...

it's got a different flavor than a spanish onion...or even a white onion...

oh gosh, you get these in the states? I had these huge onions when I was in spain and you could just eat them raw without it being too spicy, I loved 'em.

Walla Wallas are delicious! I make French Onion Soup with them all the time.
This recipe sounds pretty tasty to me. :D
