Should be ok for deads. I used to use a 'trapizodal' bar for deads...you stood in the center of a square bar with neutral grips on the sides, and did deads like that.
Trap bar is fine, the weight stays in the same position, you just won't scrape your shins with it.
All olypmic size bars should be 45lbs. Usually EZ curl bars are 20-30 lbs because they're shorter.
